I'm looking forward to Vampires of El Norte!! It combines two of my favorite genres!! 😁😁 ... Enjoyed the video!! Thanks!! I subscribed and I'll leave the emoji anyway lol!! Closest version I have 🤣🤣🤣 ==>💃💃💃💃
I want to read The Wager at some point. In August I read: The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin, Children's Literature by Seth Lerer, Seeing Reds by Daniel Francis, Churchill Portrait of an Imperialist by Lawrence James, A Short History of Ireland by John Gibney, Inglorious Empire by Shashi Tharoor, and Born in Blackness by Howard French.
Totally agree about the Frugal Wizard's Handbook. I was so disappointed. The humor DID NOT land. It was bordering on very cringe. And I have never heard the words "hot damn" so many times in one book 😅 stop it. Get some help.
My reading months have been bad lately so I don't have a favorite (DNF 6 books and the ones I read were 1-2 ratings). Hopefully I will read something I like soon.
Just popping on to say that I preferred Prayer for the Crown Shy over Psalm. I also gave psalm 4 ish stars, but i absolutely adored prayer. I highly recommend reading the sequel if you didn't already have plans to !
My favorite of August is, "On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous" by Ocean Vuong. I enjoyed the writing so much that I went back to the bookstore and bought his second book "Time Is A Mother". Haven't read it yet working on my reads from the library but I hoping it gives me the same feels reading it as his debut. Also 💃 just because.
I am really really sorry for missing your last few videos as I have had a really bad surgery with my eyes and I am also battling with my mental health issues so I am going to try and catch up with your amazing videos prayers and blessings for you and your husband love your Aussie family friend John ❤❤❤
I finished King's Fairy Tale and was so shocked at how much I loved it. I usually DNF his books for being to slow, this one was very different and I couldnt put it down.
I also wasn't into Carrie Soto is Back - I love TJR's other books. For August, I loved Looking Glass Sound by Catriona Ward. I read it on your suggestion - so thank you! ❤
My favourite read of August was definitely "Our Wives Under the Sea". I thought of it one way for the whole book - but when I finished it, I thought of it a different way. I will reread it one day through that lens. But I really don't know which theory of mine is right - and that's part of what made the book so good.
i think my fav read of august has to be the These Violent Delights duology! i was obsessed while reading and can’t wait to continue the rest of the books in the same world
