@@fatimaambreen there is given quadratic equation where y=-x² - 6x - 5 vertex form is a*(x-h)²+k -h is value of x and k is the value of y -1 is represented as a Quadratic form is ax²-bx-c The given one has -x² where a is -1

Hey!! In composite functions F(G(x)) should be = 2(-5x+1)+3, NOT -5(2x+3)+1

I would like to ask another question, in this excercise 24:10 . Why does the equation have roots if it doesn't touch the x-axis? Maybe I'm mixing concepts but I haven't quite figured that out yet

@@AlexisLopez-ev5inthe only way it’s possible is if you introduce imaginary numbers: i = square root of -1 Which would give you the roots : x1 = 2+2i and x2 = 2 -2i

2:45 is misleading! f(g(x)) is incorrect. What you wrote down there is indeed g(f(x)).

Please teach me how to plot graph of y=5x+4, by simple observation

let me explain, when x=0 Y will be equel to 4. So one of our point is (0,4). When y=0, X will be equl to -4/5(or -0.8), so our second point is (-0.8,0). by puting these 2 point on a graph we can draw our lovely little graph, I hope this explanation will help you to understand this topic. In general, in order to be able to draw a linear graph we only need the information of 2 points, and the easiest way to find the coordinate of them is puting 0 to either of variables and finding the other one(because 0 automatically elemant anything next to it)

The rule is y=a(x-h)^2+k and in the equation a=-1 so you just plug it in

the equation initially had a negative (-) sign in front of it [-x^2-6x-5] and when he made it into -[x^2+6x+5] (making all the coefficients positive), he factored out the negative one and the equation became -[x^2+6x+5]
