Hi guys! It's finally August, and I am ready for soup season!! I hope everyone is staying cool in the mean time. The heat has been making me extra sleepy when I read.
For August, I'm going to attempt to read everything I haven't finished yet. We'll see how it goes! What do you plan to read as summer winds down? I'm looking forward to all the cozy reads hue hue.

Haha, your "I know it's a problem" at the beginning was SUCH a mood 😂❤ I know the feeling when you should really love a book - because everything from the writing style to the armosphere is good - but the spark just doesn't really jump over. Personally, I don't finisj books like this, so I applaud you for making it your goal for August 🤗📚

I am soooo bad about flooding my “currently reading” shelf. I just convince myself that I’m reading them all at once even if I haven’t picked one up in 5 months (acomaf…. 😳) I neeeeeed you to finish Dark Matter! I hope you enjoy it now that’s you’re in a different headspace. But regardless… I’M SO GLAD YOU FINISHED TFOTA TRILOGY AND LOVED IT 🥳💖

The loops I will jump through when I know I won’t actually pick up the book is wild 😅 Twisted Love and Yours Truly are haunting me at this point lol. 🥹 I am absolutely OBSESSED. My only regret is I didn’t pick it up sooner!!

GIRL LOL. I'm a completionist so I just try to read and finish everything... even if I hate it. 😂 I agree so much with you though... I feel like Funny Story/Just for the Summer/Part of Your World are all really similar. They're great but sometimes I want something a little different in pacing. They're definitely in the same grouping of books. THE SHREK-LIKE BOOK 💀😂 But also I want to watch you read your old childhood books!! I wanted to do something like that too but on top of my head I read was the Poppy series, Charlette's Web, and Twilight Saga. I'm sure I read other ones as well but... can't say I remember it all 😂The manga reads at the time was UNHINGED asf though. Honestly, it seems like you should think of it as unfinished. Especially if you've only gotten 50 pages in. You're just dabbling to see if you're in the mood for it ✨I think that's how I would look at it; especially with Twisted Love.

Definitely!!! Unless it’s a series, I need to change up what I read next. Maybe it’s because August is the start of fall to me that I keep putting off Yours Truly? I’m in a fantasy/cozy read vibe. I mean it’s hot pot season for meeee. YES. I thought it was Shrek at first and needed to get it! 💀 my manga reads at the time were definitely UNHINGED and SUSPECT. 🤣 I definitely didn’t have anyone supervising my reading lol. I read Flowers In the Attic waaaay too young. I look at it now and it’s like???? Ohhh. I like the idea of tasting a book✨ cause at this rate the list will never stop growing LOL.
