4 days ago I returned to the UK from 2 weeks in Mexico with my wife and kids, holiday of a lifetime! I’m currently sat in Manchester airport about to jump on a plane to Benidorm for a much different kind of holiday (beer, beer, beer) with the boys. *pulls out tiny violin* I have played since almost the launch of this game and still have not unlocked Roswitha. My Neuro team is fully upgraded, just missing this final piece Keep up the great work, love the content
I went to the Galapagos years ago and it is still one of the most incredible experiences of my life. The raw savage beauty of the archipelago is just stunning
Just flew across the country to watch my favorite premier league team play a friendly and enjoyed a week of humidity with my best bud. Thanks for the content!
Congrats on 7K! I've always wanted to build Roswitha. Best holiday: traveled to Easter Island with my wife and backpacked / rode horses around the island and camped outdoors for a week. Epic experience.
Thanks for that giveaway! Best trip I ever did was with 3 friends backpacking all across Spain. I particularly had fun in San Sebastian visiting La Sagrada Familia and lots of museums. Great country to visit, highly recommend it to everyone reading this!
Hey buzz, thankyou forthe chance to win shards, i have been in a guild on my own for about 7 months now so any oppotunity like this is greatly appreciated. For the hols, im painting my first models. I have bought a few starter sets but have never put paint to brush. Hoping they dont turn out like a childs fingerpainting...have a great holiday yourself!!
I think Roswitha has the best outfit in this game. Maybe Jaeger could be a rival for that tittle. My favorite holiday was on Bari, Italy, people there may be the worst drivers in my (little) expierience but damm they cook well
Roshwita seems like a really cool character to me, love the combo of crossbow/torch/anti-psyker mechanic and nice to see that despite all the power creep she still has a niche. As for holiday the best one ive been in a while was a 4-day camping trip to Havasupai Falls in Arizona. You have to hike a LOT there and there is almost no mobile reception (missed two days of HRE because of it) inside the canyon but views are absolutely amazing, 100% recommend putting it on the bucket list. Gratz on 7k!
Went on a choir tour through England, the Netherlands and Germany a few years ago when I was in college and it was incredible. I'm from the states and the amount of gorgeous castles and cathedrals over there was incredible, would absolutely love to visit again!
Roswitha seems to be the most elusive uncommon in the game from what I heard, glad that she is getting a spotlight in a giveaway. My personal favorite trip was one I took to a Texas military base to see off a relative, however, it was in the middle of summer was extraordinary hot. Thankfully, Texan drinks are massive.
The best holiday for my wife and I is going home every Christmas to be with our families. 41 years and I've always been home for Christmas. Our parents are grandparents now and they love watching them open their gifts and spending time with them.
As a German Soldier now serving in the USA my holdidays changed a lot lately: Normally I used them to travel the world with my girlfriend for hiking. Mostly european countrys and just sometimes the USA but a few months ago I had to move here for service which makes it a lot harder to travel back "over the pond" on a regular basis. But people are all around pretty pleasant as a whole, be it as meeting them as a tourist or an immigrant on time
Before emigrating from the UK to Sweden 7 years ago me and the misses went travelling for 2 months, visited Thailand, Philippines, Australia (where we also aloped and got hitched) New Zealand and Fiji. It truly was the trip of a lifetime.
Congrats on 7k. Enjoy Canada. Middle of winter and no holiday here, but next one I'm looking forward to is going interstate for Christmas to hang with the family and explore the sights of our biggest city with my kids, hopefully stop at my favourite childhood destination on the way back home so the little ones and see it. Fun times.
Best holiday was my last visit in Northern Ireland, Belfast was really nice but the very best was the Giant Causeway. The sight gave me such a rush of emotions, it made me cry for the beauty of the place. Cheers!
Best trip ever was with my mom before she passed away. Her and my dad planned a three week trip through Canada and western US. Best trip, would love to do it again.
My favorite holiday was when I first traveled abroad which was to Italy. I grew up pretty poor and always wanted to visit another country (especially Italy). Finally getting to travel there was definitely an emotional experience and one I will never forget.
Super excited for the giveaway as I’m a new player and could really use the boost to my roster! Holidays were very low key this year, staying home and tackling the proverbial Honey Do list, but it felt good getting them all knocked out.
Just back from Andorra and Barcelona. Lovely places with great food, just very, very hot at this time of year. Great idea for the giveaway. Thank you Lord Buzzkillington.
Gtz on 7k. Best holiday - always the next one coming up. But just been to Belfast - loved it. The people were warm and friendly, the food great and Giant’s Causeway stunning.
So far, my favorite trip was back in 2018, went to Africa with a bunch of family and hiked up Mt. Kilimanjaro. Total of an 8 day hike. It was an amazing experience. They even have Kilimanjaro brand beer in Tanzania. Having a nice cold one of those after we got off the mountain was like a little bit of heaven.
My favorite holiday is when I just took 2 weeks off and stayed home, cooking, painting Warhammer minis, and playing The Rift breaker. Staycation for life!!!!
Thanks Buzz:) I don't know where in Canada you're visiting, but I've truly loved visiting the West coast, and deeply value my times there visiting friends. Hope you have a great time!
One of my favorite vacations was a recent one. My wife and I went on a cruise to Alaska for our third anniversary a few months ago and we’re planning a nice weekend trip to Cape Cod in Massachusetts this fall. Congrats on 7k!
Congratulations on 7k! Currently planning a trip to Bear Head Lake Minnesota for a hiking and fishing trip. Also did any of you know that Roswitha was also the name of a tenth century female playwright. She followed the order of Saint Benedict, her plays were recorded to be some of the best of the feudal age by the Cardinal Gasquet.
my favourite trip ever was going on a roadtrip through Southern France, Northern Italy along the great lakes and into the Alps, all the way to Switzerland and Southern Germany, then a comeback through France back to Barcelona. This took a couple weeks, with my parents (that sadly passed away, so I cherish those memories) and we experienced the beauties of northern Italy and the alpine mountains, while eating delicious dishes.
Another giveaway, nice! This holidays we have some friends and family come to visit, so no travelling for us. But it's going to be interesting showing other people around and we might even be able to sneak a weekend away, so not bad at all 😊
Best holidays I've had was when we were stationed on Omnicron outpost just on the mouth of Eye of Terror, boy the weather and unsuspected warping of our minds and bodies. I am really gratefull that l'm stationed on Krieg now :P
Glad to see some SoB love. One of our best vacations was for our 15th anniversary. A one week long Mediterranean cruise from Nice to Rome, with a three day stay over on the back end in Rome. Vatican City, the Coliseum, the Forum. A rooftop dinner al fresco the night before we left, watching sunset over the eternal city. Twenty years ago just this year, some great memories. Lots of brownie point with the wife, all burned through long ago, of course! 😆
For my summer, I've been performing in two bands at various Rennaissance Fairs in California (San Luis Obispo, and upcoming gigs at South Lake Tahoe & Gilroy). Been good fun playing the old English folk tunes.
Thanks for the ungrindable giveaway! Congrats on 7k. Got a big family reunion this weekend with brother and family flying in from Japan. Traveling is worth doing. The Great Barrier Reef off Australia was memorable. Hiking Trolltunga in Norway was amazing. 🍻
Headed to Dragoncon in Atlanta, USA - end of the month. It’s a super fun event 80ish thousand attendees with all kinds of events, gaming, cosplay, even HEMA. Might even get me to take a break from Tacticus. Cheers on your adventure to Canada it’s a beautiful place.
I was lucky that I got the chance to spend a semester as a guest student in Canada. Best time of my life. Fantastic people and a lovely country. Our trip this holiday season goes to south tirol.
Currently working in western Arizona, so last weekend I drove through Cali to get to the Pacific Ocean. After almost two months in the desert, it felt amazing to get into water again. 😊
Congrats on 7K! Best vacation: a reptile-focused wildlife trip to the Amazon. None of this "safety" nonsense. We'd go on hikes through the jungle, catching what we found, taking photos, and returning them. At one point, we had a fer-de-lance on the kitchen table and a black caiman tied to a chair behind us. First time I'd ever caught a crocodilian by hand. Truly amazing. Sadly, the company got sold, and their new tours are all "no playing with venomous things", buncha cowards.
Thanks for the giveaway and great content! Latest weekend trip was to Estonian island of Saaremaa which was really great: interesting, calming and really on a budget. Travel as much as you can, people, it is worth it! Especially when accompanied by Tacticus 😊
We are going to the UK (from AUS) literally this friday! cant wait to make the visit to warhammer world for the cool warhammer lore! Thanks again for doing these giveaways :)
I've been all over the continental United States, Hawai'i, Jamaica, Southwest Canada, and Parts of Mexico. The Yucatan Peninsula is the most magical place I've travelled.
Finished my holiday with a week down on the Amalfi coast in Italy. Superb to be honest, with fantastic food and gorgeous views. I’ve never been to Canada myself but heard so much great things about it that I feel I must go there soon!
Best holiday I have been on was either a relaxing holiday to Fiji when I was young, or spending my 18th birthday and New Year's in Germany which was absolutely incredible and complete chaos in the best way. Enjoy your trip to Canada, that is one of the top countries on my list of places to visit.
Have a fantastic holiday! No plans to holiday this year but we have such beautiful places here in the Western Cape in South Africa so there’s always somewhere to go that’s peaceful and picturesque. Hopefully you can travel here one day.
Hi Buzz! Thanks for the chance, Rowshita is quite an underrated character nowadays when the new ones constantly try to overshadow her. :) On my holiday I'm going on a wellness week with my family, celebrate my birthday there and prepare for a job switch, back to kindergarten teacher (which is highly unusual for a male like me here in Hungary). But of course I don't intend to leave my phone at home. 😁
A bump to the Sisters would be great 😊 I have good memories of vacationing with family in Watamu Beach on the coast of Kenya, a resort catered to families especially and it was relaxing and beautiful.
I liked playing Sisters of Battle in Dawn of War series lol always fun. My favorite trip would have to be Seattle, WA. Loved the weather, whale watching, Pike Place Market, and enjoying cozy vibes in small cafes and restaurants
Family Holidays these days are always special. Favourite one was as a kid when I went to Corsica - birth place of one Napoleon Bonaparte. Had loads of fun. Great content as always. Good luck to all the entries.
Congrats on the 7K! I've been spending most of my summer slowly painting my WH minis, only about 50-60 more to go before I start building more. Have fun in Canada when you're here!
Grats on the 7k. My best vacation was to Australia which lead to me going to Japan, Bali, Vietnam and several other places. Back in Australia again now cause I loved it so much
Trip coming up to Maine (other side of US for me) to see my Mom. First time we'll have seen her in almost a year and my daughter is jonesing. Roswitha is a niche character, but that niche is all about kicking demon ass lol. Thanks as always for all you do.
Best holiday been in Mexico, by the Mayan Riviera south of Mexico, 10 day road trip through different small beachside towns and concluded in Belize. Pretty good time with the family.
Awesome giveaway! I’m not very well traveled. My favorite place that I have been to, though, would probably be St. Thomas in the Caribbean. Went there for a last minute elopement for a friend, years ago. I was there only for 3 days, wish I stayed longer. I went snorkeling and it was the best thing. Want to go back someday.
Well, talking of sisters of battle, one of my best holidays was a 2 week trip to Spain, including a visit of Barcelona. While others enjoyed the beauty of Gaudi' buildings, a friend and I were visiting a Games Workshop shop - it was in the 90ies when they were rare in Europe, where I bought my first box of sisters of battle (a tactical troop)! ;-)
Roswitha is just like the other sisters. I’m always chasing shards for them but they cost soooooo much! The best holiday I’ve been on was a month in Japan. We saw the entire country and I’m now 100% positive the food in Japan is the best in the world!
we just got back from vacation in tampa fl. it was the first vacation where both my kids were old enough to enjoy the ocean. memories to last a lifetime.
I live out here in Hawaii, so it's a great vacation spot. But my favorite vacation spots are San Fransico before all the problems, Las Vegas been there 3 times, might possibly move there soon. But I found out while my dad was stationed in Germany for the US Army, my mother and father took me to Eagles nest (kehlsteinhaus) as a kid. Wish I could have remembered that one.
My greatest trip....? In High School, my Senior Year, 1993. 13 other Students, and 3 Teachers, plus myself. We hiked the Appalachian Mountains, from Stone Mountain, GA., to Mt. Kittaden(sic), MA. From April to October. Greatest time of my Life! Thanks for the videos, LordBuzzKillington.
