@@blusafe1 Yeah, I've found most that bitch about CVs have never actually played CVs much and don't really know what AA can be like (especially in a death bubble) or how deadly fighters can be.

They clearly don’t know the game mechanics and that fighters will screw you up big time if you’re caught.

yes, they are useless, since they work to slow. If you stay in their bubble, they can make you loose your squadron, but if they do not stop you from attacking a ship, which is what they should do. What is the point of fighters, if you can only prevent attacks, after they were dealt?

Platzhalter Uh... the fighters would then destroy the rest of the enemy squadron, meaning they would have to wait until another full squad is ready before attacking again.

Hitting dds with torps is still hard though.

@@Sunnyboy-ob4xz This is an issue I've been having today. Since these CV's are not suppose to hunt DD's, they are hoping their team can take them out if you do spot them. I've had 3 back to back matches where I've spotted the DD's and tried to take them out, but because my team is off screwing around, the DD's are let off the hook. It ticks me off SO BADLY when I play a DD and get spotted I'm instantly nuked, but when spotting them in my CV (Which keep in mind the last 3 matches were up against tier 10 DD's), they are let off the hook because my team is not paying attention or can't hit anything.

As a recently hunted DD by this CV, those are fast fucking torps

I’m a IJN CV main we have to do this anyway the T10 Japanese rockets can’t hit dds we need to get it with torps but our torps are slower but can 1 hit kill them and we only launch 2 at a time

go broad side like the AP rocket planes, 1 cit guarantee some time 2 also in BBs

With the AP nerf I am wondering if USN will get more traction in competitive play (at least T8 and T10, I don't think the Ranger is that good)

In my view, I believe that a stealth build might work, but not for stealth attacks. German Planes have 10km base spotting range, but with ce and concealment upgrade, it'll only take the plane concealment to 8.1 km, with the ship's concealment about 10.5km. What does 8km mean? In fact, I think that the consumable upgrade fits German Cvs better (or plane mod for more planes), since both tbs and dbs have heal, and your engine boost can make sure your planes are at top cruising speed when attacking. Building full concealment works best if you feel like going secondaries blazing. However, GZ can do the job better, I believe. For sneaky attacks, taking advantage of islands and higher speed with planes could also work for you. =)

Honestly I think Midway is catching up to Haku fast this patch, it might even be better. I think right now Midway has higher skill ceiling, because of it's DoT potential if played properly. It has the highest chance for fire and flooding across all plane types. Hakuryu is still easier because it only cares about alpha strike, and once you get the hang of dropping AP bombs there's really not much more skill involved.

Dropping torps on a DD became one of my favourite things. "How do you like eating your own shit? That's what you get for torping me while udetected on 6-7 km.

People I've talked to about CVs have generally outright stated that DFAA on cruisers should be a complete no fly zone for 7 km. And generally speaking none of them have played CV, and if they did they played tier 4 and say that all CV are completely OP because AA doesn't work at that tier.

@@cameronporter5137 Usually when you attack a cruiser with DFAA on you lose AT LEAST half a squadron in 1 attack.

I never had time to use Heal in bombers properly.... i dont get that feature... i think its totally pointless....

@@matej2733 It took me ages to realise the bombers had a heal, and when I noticed I was like "wait what."

@Eric Cartman The only time you can use it to save more than 1-2 planes is when you hit a non-lethal flak cloud. Other than that its pretty meh at best.

the tier6 german premium cv Erich Loewenhardt is going to have Stukas

Stukas are famous but in reality, they were already obsolete by the time WWII started. Very slow by WWII standards, relatively low payload, easy to be killed by fighters.

Chaindrops are not removed. It is just the fact that planes are not invincible after they drop their payload.

well Defensive AA dont always kill specially when your AA isnt that good or you face high tier, Fighters guarantee kills

You keep the ship, but you won't have the T4 or T6 carriers. Might be a little getting used to, seeing as you're using a completely new carrier in higher tier matches, and the learning curve might be a bit harder.

stukas were obsolete bombers by WWII standards. They were OK on a Tier 6 CV but are underpowered at tier 8. They were way slower than the bf110c

@@panzerloli2719 You might be right but if you give the real speed of Stukas which were 180 knots, then BF110 were 302 knots. They would fly from one end of the map to the other end in matter of seconds. Also, if you put Stukas at tier 8, they would meet much better planes from other nations that were real WWII planes. For once, I agree with WG that tier 4 CVs correspond to WWI, tier 6 CVs correspond to in between wars and tier 8 CVs are WWII.

You're only using them for DDs since you have AP bombs and rockets for cruisers and battleships. High damage on top of high torp speed would actually just be broken.

To be fair german CVs' rocket and torp planes are a whole lot worse than japanese ones, so I guess it makes sense for them to have better AP bombs. Although these AP bombs are horribly unfun to play against especially in cruisers.
