This is one of the best things at Aulani! My favorite effect is the “creation” of Hawaii when a group of rocks rise out of one of the ponds and you realize that they’re in the shape of the Hawaiian islands.

It is similar to the Kim Possible/Perry the platypus spy game Epcot used to have. You would take your phone to each county and complete a mission, each country had interactive elements that would move/dance/talk.

This is like a more expanded version of the Pirates Scavenger hunt in Magic Kingdom. I loved that activity, you got a pirates fast pass when you completed it (pre-COVID times.)

Disney’s “hidden” mini games are so much fun. They really include so much detail with everything they do.

I like how they integrated Hawaiian culture with the game, it makes it more unique and special 🤙❤️ Btw thanks for this, my departure back to the islands have been delayed several weeks so these videos are giving me a small taste of home to tide me over! 😄

Did you guys notice that a ton of the rocks around the lazy river are secretly in the shape of sea creatures, kind of like how the tree of life at animal kingdom has animals all over it? I haven’t heard you mention them but might have missed it. We only noticed it toward the end of our stay and then we were frantically trying to find them all. Would make a cool video!

The way you two enjoy doing these things together gives me so many feels. It makes me so happy that you two found each other and have started creating magic for the rest of us to enjoy through RU-vid.

Ya'll!! Im such a cry baby :'D The part where you made the waterfall rain in the pool, and the family got to swim through it? I duno why but that part made me cry. I knew the egg riddle, because it was in The Hobbit. That owl was cool that turtles ladies face would of been mine at the owl in the hole

You guys make me want to go back in time to, relive my childhood through your enthusiasm for Disney, AND, go back I. Time enough to have kids and be able to enjoy you guys as a source of insider info to take my family and be able to lead them through things. : ) You guys are so fun, and you’re showing us such good “pro tips” You make me want to leave for Hawaii tomorrow! That's very clever. Clearly every part of decor is there for a true reason. Kids must love that. A great way to learn and see everything on site. It's alike an old treasure trail but better!

These also remind me of the interactive wands in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal. Very cool!

Im not sure if y'all know of this game but it is at great wolf lodge it is called magi quest and you go around the hotel with a wand it is like a jumbo scavenger hunt and then you fight a dragon. It's awesome yet doesn't have fire!

We had a ground floor room by the pool once. We are DVC. We had to have a pool side view, but the ground floor was the same number of points as a second or third floor. We got the room by luck. The only draw back was rooms above dropping stuff off their balcony and landing on the rail/ground of our patio. Happened a few times.

Disney magic, too cool! Great way to tour the resort.

We are at Aulani now and just did it! Sadly a bunch of the interactive spots seem to be deactivated or maybe out of order. There were 5 that worked and they repeated randomly after you did all 5. Still fun!

OMG that is pure Disney magic! 😍 We have yet to find time to do the Menehune Adventure Trail when we go. Now it is absolutely a must-do on our next visit! I love how the game incorporates Hawaiian culture with oli chants, use of Hawaiian Pidgin in the dialogue, and introduction to kapa-making tools and hula implements! ❤️🌺

I am living my Aulani adventure and vacation in Hawai'i through you two. Thank you. Ugggghhh...this pandemic. I hope to one day have the pleasure of running into you two in Hawai'i like I did with my family last year in Disneyland at the Ranch Del Zocalo Restaurant. LOL That was awesome.

That looks like so much fun. I’m an adult and I would’ve loved it just as much as y’all did! I really hope that Disney would do something similar to that in Galaxy’s Edge. At Universal Studios in the Harry Potter world you can use your wand (yes you have to pay to get one lol) to perform magic. That is so much fun and it’s great to be able to interact like that with the area. I also hear that in Super Mario Land at Universal in Japan will be interactive also. Universal studios has really started going above and beyond with things that they do. Unfortunately, I just don’t see Disney doing this in Galaxy’s Edge. There are some little things that you can do right now but it’s small compared to other interactive areas offered in other theme parks. I believe originally Disney was supposed to have something like that to a bigger extent in that land but I’m sure it was money reasons that kept them from doing everything. I just don’t think Disney is going to put the money in to make it more interactive. However, they could sell some kind of special something that you must have in order for things to work properly. That could help bring additional revenue to them but I just don’t think it’s going to happen. I really do think going forward Disney’s main focus is going to be on their streaming service and not the parks. It used to be that if movies and TV shows and such were not doing well Disney always had the theme parks. The theme parks were always their moneymakers. That’s changed. It’s not just Covid that changed it but things have kind of started going that way over the past just couple years. Disney is heading in the direction that I think is going to be detrimental to their theme parks.

This is very cool! We're going to Oahu with family in February and won't be staying at Aulani but do plan to visit there. Wonder if people who just visit for the day could take part in this?

Please keep in mind that first floor rooms are always the least safe especially the ones you showed. While it is great for easy exit to the pool, that also means easy access for intruders. I know it is Disney and prob very safe, still...

We are actually planning our honeymoon, I wasn't sure what the best option would be for us since we have a lot of Vacation Club point from my in-laws. So we really are curious of what our best option is. This is helping a lot.
