First I am not Myanmar/Burma national, but Aung San Suu Kyi makes me feel one. Every single word that comes out from her mouth touches my heart directly. I know and I felt how good and wonderful woman she is. It's like a mother and child connection.
She is one of my respectable human beings all over the Universe. She gave me many powerful words whenever I watched and listened her speeches. Now she become *The rector of the President* in Burma. She is really smart and educated lady.I believe her whoever she were.I'll be with you Daw Aung San Su Kyi.
Mom you are my good leader missing you a lot mom su I'm always pray for you and when i miss you i will gives and pray all of my Myitar to you I will be there for u mom. All of mom for all in the 🌎 be healthy wealthy and long live 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Mother Su, you're the one who made me feel proud of being Burmese. From the time I was still a little child, you're always there in my heart and the current situation makes my heart full of grieve. You've had more than enough difficulties all your life. You chose us when you could just live comfortably. You're a strong, intelligent lady. Your presence gives me strength and hope.
Those who are badmouthing about her, please shut up. You had never gone through her path. You had never seen how burmese lived under new government. To us,citizens of burma, she is the only true leader that brings bright future for country where each of us can enjoy true freedom and justice. Unless you are more educated and more experienced her, if not just shut up and don't humilate yourself by leaving nasty comment here.
Nurul its both Parliamentary and presidential combined written by the previous military regime. Its rather undemocratic since they gave unlected 25% of the parliament to Military officers.
Humiliating ourselves ? Nonsense. Unlike the two-faced hypocrites and liars who claim to support this despicable traitor to the cause of freedom, we insist that rights, freedom, and the essential core of democracy itself be allocated REGARDLESS of skin pigmentation, religious, ethnic, or caste-based ascriptions. This woman does not. She believes that marginal residents of Burma,..most obviously, Muslim ones,..have forfeited any and all rights to consideration wholly and solely along RACIAL and ETHIC lines. Her refusal to do even ONE SERIOUS THING to assist the imiserated Rohingya has permanently tarnished, if not utterly destroyed, the despicably false image she's spent decades manufacturing.
+Stag V It is the real problem. So, why avoid the issue? You can see the effects of that 25% CIC appointed seats and military controlled ministries, by now. ASSK and NLD tried to do peace conference but military continue its assaults on ethnic armies despite request to stop these attacks by the parliament and the people. Peace conference loses creditability as a result. Just simple example.
We, as your citizens, are proud to be your children, mother. Although you are on house arrest, we haven't lost hope to give up due to your enlightenment and inspiration. The revolution shall win mom!! You believe in us and we believe in you too.
I so rever this lady so much - her wit, elegance, courage, passion, vision, spontaneity, sharpness. But I'm saddened by the irony that while she dedicated her life for a better Burma and talk about her dreams for the young to have a happy life, a real campus life, her 2 sons suffered a painful, tragic youth which they might carry the rest of their lives. When I saw his younger son in some footages, I sensed an adult man, withdrawn and with sad eyes.
Glad to learn she mentioned sri lanka.I learned about oxford university when i was a 8 year old boy when the first asian president of oxford unionSWRD Bandaranayake became the Prime Minister of Ceylon in 1956.He was my role model at that time so much so 2 decades later i was chatting away with his late wife as a scholar ,who was then the world's first woman PM as well PM for second or third time as if i had known her for a long time.
I feel even sadder when I read that he ever and might still is working as a carpenter. To fulfill one's duty to a country is noble but a duty as a mother is sacred. Choices had been made but I hope they make a choice to acknowledge their shortcomings and work to make up for those lost years and heal. I love to see a happy ending for Burma but equally I pray to see a happy ending for this family.
She is my role model not for the fact she is Burmese or British but because of her endeavor so to all those haters please be quiet . don't spread hate you ignorant people!!!
When I was still a young boy, I didn't understand why public champions ought to be Western-educated. Only Much Later in My Life Journey, I discovered the importance of able to locate many different types of knowledge materials. For most individuals, reading many different types of contents and accessing audio-visual materials develop mind content. No more blank mind.
What ASEAN Activists really need are well-knowledge Western-educated assistants who were competent in articulating key points in very concise wordings.
Wise men are always born educated. If you want more educated people to be born, don't forget our(her) new generation Burma, because they are hungry for any knowledge.
You know how evil people came into power, besides cruel actions? Charming speaches! You know how Obama nurtured high hopes (and failed big time)? Being charismatic! All those traits are signals to be a bit more critical towards those people who have them. Construcitvely critical. Clearly, Mrs Suu Kyi, you ve been running all your life - but is it really for Burma or is it away from a traumatized childhood, and that a spoiled Princess lost her daddy and her dignity through regime change? I admire your strength, I doubt your dedication to the people of Burma, you are not one of them (although tough struggle is the bound you and them have in common).
Perhaps shhe learnt this skill from giving speeches from behind the fence of her house. When it started to rain - she would stop reading from her notes as they became rain soaked. Then she would let her speech recede into a clinched first (thumb up of course) - Umbrella above her head arms resting on the uncomfortable outwardly turned steel bars she would smile and continue her speech in Burmese and English - always with a smile and a flower in her hair - a quick glance down to keep her footing
ASEAN is ready for Western-Trained Charming Social Champions. Let's be assured it is not the usual charm one would expect from learners of the civilized sphere.
Your speech at place where people learn humanity to create a better world for all but Oxford has failed recognize the real human who are always for this. Oxford should return back it's honorary degree to prove that it doesn't support who are against humanity.
I declared myself I was born in Burma but I don't have any birth certificate or recognise as a citizen in Burma. Shameless, because of her father was a real devil to other ethnic people, every ethnic people in Burma has to suffer and struggle.
