didu2689 that means he was great at hiding his abusive nature. He literally assaulted a 13 year old boy from a music group. Look up menudo. There is so much evidence that the abuse happened if you believe it didn’t please research.
The cousin who lived with the family for two years was Diane Vandermolen. She testified that Lyle was scared to sleep in his own bedroom when he was 8. When she asked him why he told her that he and his dad were "touching each other down there." Diane told their mother. She convinced her that nothing was wrong and dragged Lyle back to his bedroom. Other cousins who stayed at their house also testified to similar incidents.
I don't see how no one thought it was odd that a man was going to a room alone with his son just them two for such a long time and never thought anything.
It’s that generation. Sexual Abuse or evil was not talked about like it is nowadays; so their minds wouldn’t automatically go there, as there wasn’t much awareness of how heinous the human can be . A few years back I remember my 60 year old aunt asking me what the journalist was talking about on TV and I told her that they were reporting a father who had SA his daughter. My aunt couldn’t believe it, she was telling me that was impossible, as a father couldn’t do that to his daughter. This generation, our minds go there automatically. If an adult took a child to their room for a long time, one would automatically assume SA
How aren’t these relatives stories credible enough to allow the process of them getting out of prison. They’ve spent more than enough time locked up at this point.
This just fucking breaks my heart 💔!! As a Sexual Abuse Survivor my heart really goes out to Erik & Lyle. No child should ever have to endure the Horror that they went through. Sexual abuse/Physical abuse/Rape/Molestation Forever sticks with you & changes you & alters the course of your life. We can’t HEAL what we don’t REVEAL!!! Abuse is Abuse… US Survivors definitely have a story. We’re more than our trauma , Past or Pains. Society, The Parents and The Justice System failed the Menendez brothers they deserve to be “FREE”… RELEASE THE MENENDEZ BROTHERS NOW!!! Their whole life was Hell & HORRIFIC
Come on : They have faced the consequences of their Sin. If you want forgiveness from GOD forgive them. GOD knows better. May Both brothers have peace in Jail .
So crazy that one picture at 1:08 of Jose and his kids and his left hand touching one of the boys inappropriately on his whole private area and no one thinking twice about THAT being a huge sign of SA abuse hiding in plain site.
In this particular case, you're overthinking. I think pretty much every family has 1 or 2 "bad" photos like this (my family album does xD) when a dad or a mom is holding/hugging the kids while also trying to smile at the camera so they might not even notice that their hand is somewhere near the private parts area. Normal parents don't even think about it since they don't see their children in 'that' way. So this particular photo doesn't tell anything (I fully believe in their story, for the record).
@@Leonion6 it’s just alarming to see in the story given the circumstances. Right there out in the open and often times some sexual abuse is hidden in plane sight. Trust me I know.
The quote at the end from Lyle: I'm happier than I've ever been. Cousin Diane: He feels better living in prison than he did living with his mom and dad. Yes the brothers went through unspeakable torture. They are in prison but in some ways better because now they are safe, and no longer under the control of the monster parents.
Unfortunately this family failed them. Alot of families keep this secrets but this time it had an ever more devastating affect and ruined all their lives. Never keep secrets. Protect children at ALL COST.
I was an emotionally abused child and I remembered begging to be put in boarding school. Fridays were the worst, because of the prospect of having to go home in the weekend.
The same justice system that put them away are also to BLAME for not helping them and letting their sick excuse for parents do what they did. The justice system may not have known at the time but they do now and look how they respond. I’m sorry but absolutely ANYONE who is trying to keep them behind bars is only doing it for one reason. You are either for abuse or against it.
No offence to the sister here, but given how much the sisters looked alike when they were younger, it feels like looking at Kitty if she was still alive. Something slightly chilling about it as it’s so hard to imagine an older lady being such a monster. So much we can’t comprehend about the human psyche until we are on the receiving end.
God, this is so sad. What a gross miscarriage of justice that they are still in prison. I wish their case could be reopened. It seems all the more sad that the new Netflix show called the brothers' credibility into questions so much.
Right now I hate I'm a visual learner cause now I'm visualizing what Jose did to those boys. He made Erik watch in the mirror and see him getting violated and say look at me doing this to you look at this
The both loved and hated them. It is sad how children love their parents no matter what however also scared dad would kill them since they both knew his secrets
