The problem from the outside looking in seems to be a lack of creative cohesiveness between the writers, the producers and HHH. The only stories that look decent when compared to previous eras of WWE is the Drew-Punk feud and the Bloodline story but that's only because Punk and Heyman are writing those stories on their own. This is why ratings have gone down again because they've decided to coast until Roman and eventually Rock comes back. The problem for Cody and the rest of the full time roster is that HHH fears making the shows topical like they were in the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression Era i.e. writing stories that are relatable to people in 2024. The entire show could be filled with stories like the Bloodline if HHH would allow himself to get out of the wrestling bubble and see what stories and characters people are into in popular culture or on social media.
I feel like a lot of them are extremely uncomfortable holding a mic. Especially in front of the crowd. They need promo + speaking classes and they NEED to show some personality while on live TV. A lot of them lack in the field of being confident with promos + showing larger than life personality and charisma in an overall aspect: - Iyo Sky - Zoey Stark - Apollo Crews - Ricochet (by far the worst of the list, but he's gone now) - Solo Sikoa - AoP - Dragon Lee - Legado (all of them) - Kairi Sane - Dakota Kai - Cruz del Toro and Joaquin Wilde (Zelina can show personality and has been showing it in the last shows) - Shayna - Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate (They need it desperately) - Alba Fire and Isla Dawn - DIY - Candice and Indi - Andrade
