Aura parental control app review. Aura is the perfect parental control app to keep your family safe online. Get detailed reports, monitor browsing activity and set time limits for usage.
Hello everyone, welcome back. And in today’s video, we’re gonna be taking a closer look at the Aura Parental Control app which is one of the best parental control services currently in the market. I’ll be explaining how it works and all the features the app offers, as well as some extra features you get when you sign up for the aura family plan. So if you want to know more about Aura and want to see if it’s a good fit for your household, this video is for you. And without further ado, let’s get started. Also if at any point in the video you’d like to check out Aura for yourself, you’ll find all the useful links as well as discounts in the description down below to save you some money. Now, before we get into the features Aura offers, let’s talk about the company itself. Aura is a company that initially provided family security services such as Identity theft protection as well as many other features for their users. But in 2021, Aura acquired Circle, which is a giant when it comes to parental control services and are continuously integrating parental control features into their services. Now to use Aura’s app, all you need to do is download their parental control app on your own device, and after signing in, use your child’s phone to scan the QR code that will appear on your phone. From there, you’ll download the application on their phone and follow the installation guide and you’ll be good to go. So what parental controls does Aura offer? Let’s start off with website and application management. If there are any websites that you don’t want your kids entering, all you need to do is blacklist them using your phone and these websites will be blocked on their device. Similarly, you can view and block apps that you might think are unnecessary and cause distractions. Blocking these apps will effectively prevent any messages from appearing on your child’s phone afterwards. And if there are any apps that you don't mind your children using but don't want them to overdo it, you can set a certain time limit for these apps and even block them after certain hours. Another great feature that Aura offers is screen time analytics. Using the app, you can see how much each family member spent on their phone and set screen time limits for each device. On top of that, if telling your kids to get off their phone over and over again becomes exhausting, with a simple click of a button you can block internet access on their devices and save yourself the trouble. But Aura is not perfect and it has received some criticism in certain areas. For example, Aura does not have live tracking capabilities like other parental control services. Now that may be true but as I mentioned earlier, Aura is still integrating Circle features into their services, and one of these features is live location tracking. Another point of contention it received is its price tag. Aura parental controls only come with the family plan that is priced 50$ per month or 37$ per month if you take their yearly plan. Now this might be higher than the average price of parental control subscriptions, but with Aura, you also get all the family security features I mentioned earlier, as well as a VPN and an antivirus. That seems like a lot of value for your money to me. So is Aura worth it ? Definitely! Not only does Aura cover the basics like web filtering, app limits, and screen time management, but it also offers some unique features that other parental control services don't, like identity theft protection, VPN, financial fraud protection, and an antivirus. It's the perfect fit for households that want both their security services and parental control services coming from the same place, without having to subscribe to multiple services and spending more money. Plus, its family protection covers unlimited devices, which is great if you have several kids. And that's it for this video, again if you'd like to check out Aura for yourself, you’ll find all the useful links including discounts in the description down below.
