In my childhood in rural Western Kenya discos were organized by the well heeled in the village and i could not sleep whenever such a club banger hit my ears at 12am in the night. I would hastily jump into my dancing gear and get the shortest route to the disco. I would dance my bones till morning. Arlus Mabele never disappointed.

@@benardodhiambo133 I was just going over this old post, just noticed your old post. I wanted to comment and answer because, we the younger generation of African with all the tools in access we are trying to bring out the true, when I am stating the truth, it's the veritable truth not the one taught to you by the guilt driven slave master trying to justify or smolder the truth by trying to attribute some of the atrocities committed to the native Africans. Also, you as an African do your diligent research before stating some naivety which is being circulated by the other side. Fact the Portuguese arrived in the Kongo in the early 1500 hundred as you stated, in 1526, the king of the Kongo, Nzinga Mbemba (who by this time had adopted the Christian name of Afonso I) began writing a series of twenty-four letters to the Portuguese King Joao III appealing for an end to the slave trade. While a trading relationship had been in place between Portugal and Kongo since the 1480s, Afonso was increasingly unhappy that the relationship between both countries had degenerated into one in which the slave trade had become increasingly important. This source is a part of the Christianity and Slavery in the Kingdom of Kongo, 1480s-1520s. The King state “You Portuguese came to our Kingdom for trade and evangelization, now you are kidnaping my people and taking them as slave. You should also note that this man was removed assassinated by the Portuguese and replaced by a someone to their service and that person was also replaced this is on and on. White man came in Africa with Gun, Black man had none, everything was planned before in Rome (After exterminating the native American Rome needed strong race to work these new vast land discovered and the Black Africanus was deemed resourced and robust resistant to most of the diseases and long lasting .furthermore they have no soul they were not human,, God allowed and permitted white man to enslave and tame the Africanus for the good cause of civilization) with the pope, the same way Berlin conference was planned to carve off Africa in 1885. For you to mention exportation by Kongolese shows lacks of knowledge about the subject, the facts are there, just do your research, read, if you need help we will send and refere you to VATICAN ARCHIVES (library). I could go with more info, yet it is better that you go read and further you knowledge of history.
