When I say this song saved my life I honestly mean it. Thank you Aurora who made my 11 year old self feel understood. I am 16 years old now and still struggling but everyday is a blessing.
So few people know about what I went through when I was suicidal, and the "not anybody knows that I am lucky to be alive" somehow makes me feel better about that fact. Truly beautiful song
I stabbed myself in the heart with a nail gun and bled out internally for a long time. I went to the hospital and had heart surgery. There was no guarantee that I would live. I went through hell on the psych ward then found out I had Autism Spectrum Disorder. I'vr come very close to ending it a few times. I don't think I'm lucky but it's very unlikely that I should be alive.
I don't know either of you but I'm glad you're here. I've struggled w/ debilitating anxiety since my early teens...at 15 & very suicidal, I never imagined a future, never thought I'd see 20, much less 43! No one wants to hear this when they're in their shit, buy eventually it gets better. I'd heat ppl say this & wanna punch them in the throat! But the older you get, the more you forget..so what seems incredibly impossible today eventually becomes forgettable...if that makes sense. It's a struggle sometimes..I'm a recovering addict, still do therapy (which i highly recommend for most folks!) but it does get better. There's so much life out here to live...& you're deserving of it. Take care and i wish you both well!

I don't feel like she had a bad childhood, I've come across a few videos where she's with family and their so close knit. I do however feel she see's what the world has turned into, with wars /bullying/ homelessness/ drugs/etc. Maybe in her hometown in Norway she was blessed enough to live in a quaint old town where everyone knows each other and protects each other. SHE is the CHANGE im glad I get to see in this world in this current time ❤💙💛💚🖤💜
She's talked in interviews about how even though she's had a good family life, she's still suffered a lot of sorrow. She's lost a lot of people throughout her life, and she's talked about how her and her sisters all have oddities to them, one of her sisters is bipolar, and from how she acts in public and by herself I'd say Aurora herself is firmly on the Autistic spectrum. So even though she has a loving and close family, she has still suffered in many ways and has had to deal with many problems.

I think its absolutely amazing that someone so young can write such beautiful music, thats able to connect people from across the world. Taking a look at comments in different languages and seeing how she impacts lives in a positive way, is out of this universe! She is a Savior to many an inspiration to me! Keep it up ❤💙💛💚💜🖤

I sang this for my school talent show. I was having a full-on panic attack through the whole thing. My leg was shaking. (No one noticed.) This song means a lot to me, and maybe I didn't give a perfect performance but I was still lucky to be alive to give that performance in the first place.

So many of her first songs are of a nature that is outside of the experience of a normal 9;to 11 year old. I mean the songs are extraordinarily beautiful. I can't help but get the feeling she is the product of ritualistic abuse. It's a suspicion, not a fact. Listen to her first songs. Are you talking about people who comment about the troubles they are having in their life that this song connects them too? Are you SERIOUSLY saying that people with depression don't have a right to comment about how they are feeling and calling them "attention seeking?" Most people write those comments thinking no one will see them. It is a great song, that helps a lot of people get through tough shit you clearly either haven't been through, or have no care for people who feel the same as you do. You seem very selfish and ignorant.
