I will never tire of this performance of Lucky. She brings me to tears nearly every time. Aurora is the most amazing artist I have ever heard. I am putty in the hands of her voice. Enjoy.

If this concert is not perfect, then perfection is not possible. The combination of Aurora's talent, all the supporting performers, Aurora's lyrics and those of the writers whose work she covered, the production skills of the peerless Norwegian broadcaster NRK and the venue are astonishing. Now you need to do two things. Firstly go back to the riveting power of Aurora's 2015 Nobel Peace Prize concert (three songs), then on to the pure magic of the 2019 HAIK documentary/concert, also NRK and filmed in the forest where Aurora played in her childhood. PS 10 million views is nothing, Aurora's official video of "Runaway", (which she wrote when she was 11) from 2015 has 502 million views and she has over 4.8 million subscribers on her RU-vid channel. All of her videos on her channel alone have 1.2 billion views.

I agree with you about her skill with very specific techniques of expression. They are so precisely on target and so nuanced they can't be accidental. She's some kind of expressive savant or something.

This entire concert is purely masterful, artistic and simply perfect. Lucky is a masterpiece and one of the best Live performances I've ever seen! And she wrote this at 9 years old!!!

Fantastic reaction! Although I'm much older than you, I can relate to your comment about it being something you wouldn't have given a chance when you were younger. Even at your age, I probably wouldn't have given her a chance, because she's so different from everything else I listen to. I'm just glad that I opened my mind to something out of my comfort zone, because she has become one of my all-time favorite artists!

Thank you, Luke. Yes, this performance of her song 'Lucky' is a magical experience. Everything, as you said, comes together to hold me enthralled and captivated. So powerful - I hear a person that has gotten to the verge of suicide many times and is numb to the possibility of escaping that path. Then, in the bridge she says "But, I know that its time to let go." And the final chorus is more jubilant, hopeful and uplifting. Letting go of "what lies behind" and feeling how lucky they are to be alive and "see the light".

ANGELINA + Aurora are so great

I love this entire concert....but this particular song might be my favorite among those songs. I love two subtle moments especially.... The part during the pre-chorus when she repeats the lyric "...that I've been." On the word "been" she hits a note(maj7 maybe?) that sounds so achingly gorgeous. Also...the part right at the start of the bridge when she sings "I...I don't know..." listen to the choir underneath her. It's low in the mix, but the harmonies and melodic arcs happening are almost enough to make me cry. That moment is beyond just great....it's musical transcendence.

I am always like under the spell when I listen this performance. And I just love this performance - one of my favorites. I would say it is masterpiece from my point of view. You could say it is more toned or slow but her voice, emotions and her expressiveness put you under the spell and takes your full attention. The lyrics is also great. Add to this it is live. She wrote it partially when was 9 (and finished a little later) - for me it is mind-blowing if someone even think about such topics in this age. And she learned to make music by herself - in that time even her parents did not know she makes music :). Ps. Good info is that she has a lot of great songs and performances and I hope you will continue to react to her :)

She was the tender age of 19 in both of these. I really do suggest you check out some songs from the Honda Stage concert, it is a bit dark, but, truly a great show.
