Aurora Miniatures Enables Vandalism on UPRR Evanston Sub. Review of the new Containers and boxcars. 

The doors of the container on top does _not_ have to face the same direction as the doors of the container in the bottom position. The doors of the top and bottom container frequently end up facing the opposite direction due to the crane working its way in one direction trackside along the intermodal ramp for the the bottom containers, and then reverses and works its way back for containers that will be stacked on top. While the crane works, spotters (yard truck drivers that use small semi tractors) will bring outbound containers mounted on road chassis and park them all facing in one direction on the ramp adjacent to each well. The spotters will start parking the chassis-containers in the opposite direction for the containers that will be lifted to the top position. This is done simply for convenience so that the spotters are better able to maneuver the chassis-containers into position next to each well, unhook and drop the chassis-container combo, and then bobtail away to find and hook another outbound container without interfering or disrupting the crane's work. Dear Daryl, absolutely amazing boxcar and container models. Definitely put Aurora Miniatures on my ‘hard drive.’ Will check out those ONE containers. After Camille and I got married in Newark, NJ, in 2018, we went to my native country of residence, the Netherlands. Camille’s stuff got shipped through a company in Elizabeth, NJ. When we received the shipment in the Netherlands it came in a 20 foot pink ONE container. If only for that reason it will be a true testament of a reason to put such a container on the shelf for just posterity’s sake. In the mean time I have been looking at a lot of container models. 20 foot versions are hard to find. But the quality of these ones are definitely worth it. Cheerio

Those ONE container models look fantastic. Could you have put the conecting pins on the underside of your containers so they can be fitted into the concars without gluing? I believe the railroad police may ride on some trains to catch tealeafs redhanded. With the prices of cars rising,the most expensive HO boxcar I've seen is on sale for 80 dollars, which makes 0 scale ones at around 75 to 80 dollars VERY good value especially as the Atlas ones come with sprung trucks.

The rolling stock and shipping containers will make a great addition to any ones layout.

I was running my Union Pacific EMD E9A with 25 cars in toe earlier. I tried running it with 30 cars earlier and I had to add another engine so I added a Union Pacific EMD SD70M flat radiator so now I'm running a 30 car manifest with two engines pulling.

So much detail to knock off with my clumsy old fingers 😂

I wish they did that with the roller bearings on the n scale rolling stock.

You need to have some cardboard boxes open and closed alongside the rails where they've been throwing them off to their waiting cohorts. :) Edit: I went to buy 2x packs of the ONE containers x3 packs but @ $75.00 for shipping to the UK I'll give it a miss. 😒

I haven't paid over $10 for any cars for many years. Can't afford the new ones and since I model in the 60's, they don't fit into my road. I can not understand why I would want to buy detail that one can not see when the cars are on the road.

how the containers stack is based on the direction of the line up of the trucks.

13:06 Vandals raid the container... and end up empty-handed as the container is empty... Piddly the guy who planned the raid... Many times Virtual Railfan has shown clips of UP trains with 5 to 6 containers in a row opened and boxes scattered on the deck of the well cars. Time to make a bunch of "microwave" sized boxes to steal.
