The French part sounds the best to me, probably because English is my only fluent language. Pomme could sing about toilet water and I wouldn't know the difference. It would still sound great.
Its the same for me for the english part, because im french, i prefer 1000 times the crystal voice of aurora and the english part, but i must admit pomme is really talented too and probably our best french famous singer at this time
@@stormymangham5518 French is my first language. I guess everyone’s different. Personally I learned English mostly through the internet. The most useful things I learned in English classes at school were the irregular verbs and conjugation. For the rest - grammar and vocabulary, I learned it with English entertainment. Watching videos on RU-vid and reading books online. And interacting people. I basically immersed myself in the language in a way that was enjoyable without really noticing it. My advice would be to learn conjugation, especially verb terminations. There are 3 groups of verbs in French and they are conjugated differently depending on the termination. Learn the most basic tenses(present tense, past tense and future tense). If you master the 3 groups of verb (it’s really not as hard as it sounds) then you won’t have a hard time figuring out how to conjugate verbs in different tenses. And you can enhance your listening skills by consuming French content. The most popular in France is(was) a guy named Cyprien. Some of his older videos have subtitles in several languages, including English. So you can watch his content and see if you can figure out what he’s saying. First, try with English subtitles, then try with french subtitles, then without subtitles. Do not hesitate to interact with people. They aren’t always nice but even arguing could help you broaden your vocabulary and learn new swear words. Comparing your replies to French people’s replies could help you see if you made any grammar or vocabulary mistakes. So try to correct yourself from here. I used online translators whenever I saw a word I didn’t recognize. Then when I got more comfortable, I started looking up the definitions directly in English. Hope it helps.
@@mila-evans Wow, thank you so much! I'm going to make an honest effort to learn your language. I am very impressed with your written vocabulary, so admirable! I learned so many things in my life but none of it is as interesting as foreign language, and syntax. Makes me think of Nome Chomsky, I have great admiration for linguists as well. Certainly I am capable of learning and retaining some basics. If I'm successful I'll try my hand at Italian and Japanese as well. Truly, greatly appreciated! 😀👍
Perfect combination. Aurora as an Ancient Goddess with Pomme as a Modern cyberpunk style Angel. Also their vocals harmonically blended in precise dynamic from low to high, vise versa.
Is this a new side of Pomme though? I got to know her as very classy and vintage. I feel a lot that she has a classical sound, a fifties sound, a little bit of folk sometimes. This quirky fashion sense is sudden to me. No comments though, it's fun and I like it when artists play naturally with their appearance.
Ricky a raison !
They need 22 albums together--taking turns just singing or chanting or levating or casting spells or whatever ethereal creatures do because they are just pure magical creatures, I swear. So incredible. Both of them.
Awesome. I would have liked Auroras voice to be dampend a bit in the end when Pomme sang her part, so it was more clear that she had shifted to the supporting role.
I get what you’re saying but she’s not even backup singer here, she sings the second verse in French and Aurora harmonizes for her. It’s also not a fair comparison to make for singers of such talents , because you can’t be commercially successful only because you sings really good, there are too many factors that are not in your control. I remember there was a backup singer of Aurora was really good but she just wasn’t very well known as a soloist
I'm driving your car with you Sleeping in the seat next to me like a baby You twist and you turn You're traveling fast like a bird in a dream Look at it go Look at it dance over the sky like a rocket A love machine, a cinematic dream So pure and it hurts When the beauty is lost in the speed 'Cause everything matters to me (To me, to me, to me, to me) To me You're part of the dawn where the light comes from the dark You're a part of the morning and everything matters And we are, an atom and a star You're a part of the movement and everything matters (To me, to me, to me, to me) I'm watching a storm turn into form In the clouds of the world like a burst It dances and it twirls on the top of the world It is good and it hurts Look at it go Look at it dance over the sky like a rocket A teacher, a simulated dream A cure, a cure for the hurt And the pleasure you feel is real You're part of the dawn where the light comes from the dark You're a part of the morning and everything matters And we are, an atom and a star You're a part of the movement and everything matters (To me, to me, to me, to me) (To me, to me, to me, to me) Quelque part avant l'aube Quand la lumière veut nous voir Quelque part dans le monde Un oiseau s'endort sans bruit Toi et moi Dans la nuit on trouvera Quelque part où déposer Les fleurs qu'on a cueillies Pars avant l'aube Quand la lumière veut nous voir Quelque part dans le monde Un oiseau s'endort sans bruit Toi et moi Dans la nuit on trouvera Quelque part où déposer Les fleurs qu'on a cueillies Pars avant l'aube Quand la lumière veut nous voir Quelque part dans le monde Un oiseau s'endort sans bruit Toi et moi Dans la nuit on trouvera Quelque part où déposer Les fleurs qu'on a cueillies
Exceptionnelle ...
I love this version where Pomme participates from the beginning. And Aurora... is pure sweetness. She is so captivating that even those who sing with her can become spectator very often, i'm pretty sure about it. Thanks for this !
the little part Pomme wrote in French is so beautiful. I don't know French but I tried google translation, and the gist of the meaning is in there. She wanted to write something that felt like it suited the vibe of the song but not directly translating the English lyrics. She sings of two people finding a place before dawn to set down some flower they picked together. And mentions a bird falling asleep silently. It's just so beautiful. I wish I understood French inherently so I could really gather the meaning.
I am that person rifling this under everybody's noses - I have no need for anybody in my life that doesn't appreciate this absolute masterpiece. "Hi I'm Paul, have you heard this......."
Wow.... Guitar version is also veeeeery good. The french part makes the song even softer, their voices together... This is definitely the kind of magic the world needs.
It’s sad that Pomme doesn’t have a chance to sing alone here:( she keeps silent for the whole song and in her tiny verse Aurora sings louder. Sad cause Pomme’s French is just gorgeous
seriously.... Pomme could prob sing this whole song and it would be like 20x better than when Aurora sings it. I love Aurora and all but she can't quite sing like Pomme. Pomme is in another class/ability entirely. She has a rare and gorgeous voice. If you listen to her sing in that cathedral with her little autoharp its mind blowing.
@@rachelm9350 That's a bit harsh, don't you think? Both are amazing singers. I enjoy the cleaniness of Aurora's voice, she is truly talented. It's okay to say that one singer is better than the other but this exaggeration makes you think one can't even sing. I'm sure Pomme could have voiced what parts she wanted to have in the song.
as far as i know aurora wanted to collab with a bunch of artists on her new album and she asked pomme first so there is that . also i only know about pomme through aurora and i think they are both absolut´ly great :-)
This song IS like perfection !!!! Aurora's voice IS so accurate, so pure and light, aerial like a elve. And Pomme IS so soft ans profund. Those two part songs are the best
I'm a simple person. I just clicked when a new thumbnail showed up on a familiar title. Now I feel like someone just made tender love to my ears, and I really need a cuddle.
I have been learning French for a while, so I found Pomme on my own, in an attempt to help me learn pronunciation and see how well I could understand outside of an educational context. She was someone I found and adored for her voice and lyrics. AURORA has been a favorite of mine for a long while, inside and outside of performances since I heard Runaway and The Seed. I was absolutely shocked to hear that they collaborated and sung together on multiple occasions and there’s really no greater joy than two artists you already love joining together to perform, even if only once.
Wonderful, amazing, breathtaking duet. Since discovering AURORA late in the piece, I've fallen deeply into her spell. Her intellect, range, beauty and uniqueness, for me, separate AURORA from all the rest.
This version of the song is on repeat - so deep and powerful in its genuine vulnerability. Pomme has created the perfect culmination - the lyrics in French and her voice truly embellish this masterpiece. My music band is performing at a few New Year parties in December and as I came across this song I realised we have to collaborate with another amazing artist to bring it to the audience creating the spirit of unity and integrity the world desperately needs today. Thank you for your art and this song 🙏☺️❤️
i can relate to pomme being like: damn when does my part start, before tuning into the rhythm. insanely good soprano vocal range of aurora! even more impressive to hear in such a perfomance than after being mixed!
