On Sunday afternoon a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) arrived and when at dusk, auroras started apperearing wherever skies were clear. Where I live it was cloudy again and most of the forecasts said it would stay that way.
Peaking out from my front door around 6 PM I noticed skies were clearing and auroras dancing in full swing. I jumped to my car and drove to lake Savojärvi again, where sky was completely clear.
Unfortunately, when I arrived, the best show was over and auroras did not anymore rise any higher than last night.
But I did spot some interesting shapes - maybe some aurora dunes?
