If only the human eye could capture that much color. When I first saw them I thought they were just clouds. They look white-ish in real life. The camera makes them look stunningly beautiful
Yes camera captures colors more brightly, but when the auroras are very bright, you can also see the pink and all. But it's quite rare. I've seen that usually couple times per year and I spend some 3 wks aurora hunting annually.

you probably could but it would be darker than this one. I tried real-time aurora video on August 30 2019 with a7iii and sigma 20mm f1.4 but it was too grainy. it was a dark sky and the aurora was not bright enough. also, I did not use any picture profile but I've read that pp2 is best and with some modifications for low light, it should be better (but not likely better than an a7sii). do share your experience with it. thanks.
