Soul chilling beyond words. We in Auroville are devastated and feeling shattered as the trees. Our profoundest apologies to Mother Earth and her living beings for this unbearable and unacceptable carnage.
Such a sad sight to behold. This new concrete road was partially shielded from the summer sun thanks to these very trees and yet was like a baking oven during the summer months. In a world suffocating under climate change, this kind of violence inflicted on nature will only come back to haunt and torment😢

So unfair to blame Alain B. for this. Yes, creating the Foundation under the GOI was unfortunate, but he only did what he felt necessary to protect a young, vulnerable and under attack Auroville. It was WE AUROVILIANS, not acting decisively (over the years) in response to those among us acting out of alignment with the ideals of Auroville, that opened the doors to this. If ALL those bearing the privileged designation of "Aurovilian" had been truly there for Auroville, this would not have happened, because The Mother never would have allowed it. This is IN NO WAY a defense of what's happening there now, which is a crime against everything good, true and beautiful, carried out by a maniacal dictator and her pathetic minions. Just to say that EVERYONE needs to self-reflect and take whatever responsibility is theirs, and those who joined Auroville to have a comfortable personal life, or to steal from Auroville, or who were not honest in their financial affairs, or who did not treat their employees honorably, or who did not use their wealth to grow a true and aligned Auroville , etc ... what is happening now is on you. A deep bow of heartfelt gratitude to those true pioneers and Dream-builders who gave their lives for the most unique and complex and promising human experiment ever attempted. Jayanti Ravi and ALL those supporting her (ESPECIALLY the ones who have the nerve to call themselves Aurovilian!) will go down in history as the ones who destroyed it (or at least tried to - there is still hope ...).

There's is still some pain with it. 😶 ✨There will be some transformational 'recovery time' for Gaia~ lovely Natural world and her precious gifts of trees to humanity. ✨🌱💚🌳✨ In that moment, as you/we see clearly, this is certainly some negative angry ugly sad karma & fear enacted on your magnificent community of new thinkers and creators. It is such a time of testing everywhere for so, so many of us!! Emotionally exhausting for some of these times, then we charge up Our Collective super powers, and healthy wise, conscious change occurs.
