Aussie Holden Monaro and Ford Muscle Cars in Thailand

We have a look around the V8 Fastlane Pattaya Thailand Diner, Showroom and their Garage, we find some fairly interesting muscle cars, several Holden HQ's one with a 1500HP supercharged engine! a very clean HK Monaro Coupe, Chevy C10 pickup with a 572 big block, Ford Falcon XW GTHO, Holden Torana, Holden VK's and VL commodores, Camaro, Corvette, Ford F100's and all sorts bikes such as Ducati's Harleys and a lot more at this amazing car and bike collection!

There is a VN Commodore Ute parked in my Soi in Bangkok. It is in mint condition. Also further away a VN sedan. As an Aussie living in Bangkok you can imagine my surprise when I first saw

This is what I have been waiting to see. Aussie Cars in Thailand and SE Asia. Well done and keep up the good work :) I will be in Pattaya from Saturday the 23rd of March 2024 so will def go to V8 Fast Lane and have a look :)

Awesome just check their Facebook page first to make sure they had re-opened as they have been closed for a couple of weeks, should be reopening very soon though!

I used to see a VL Calais in pretty rough shape cruising the streets of Pattaya usually loaded with Thai fellas with the windows down doing bog laps of the sois!

Haha that is awesome 😎 it spins me out still how they own them, there's actually a huge amount of vl Commodores registered over there too. It was a locally made car back in the day by Holden Bangkok. Thanks for leaving your comment mate 👌

Wouldn't surprise me there could be some out there like that, I'm certain these ones will be OK knowing the owner of them, the blue one is coming back to Australia soon to be registered on the road, wish I knew the history of it.

Many of them have been circulating around Thailand since day one, the Holden's are all from Bangkok Holden GMH all sold there when new. The C10 was imported decades ago along with the Barracuda, some of the others were obviously imported as well. I will be doing a video about the history of Holden in Thailand soon! cheers for watching!

What a strage place! So many unfinished cars and yet no one working on any of them? The place looks like a ghost garage. Curious how so many of those Aussie cars ended up in Thailand, and if the owner is Thai or farang?

They're all getting slowly done up, I didn't film the guys working on them in the workshop or on the other side where the panel shop part is, not everyone likes being on camera it seems, but definitely not a ghost garage. Many of them were actually built and sold locally at Holden Bangkok, seriously! a few imported from Australia but they actually made them there, I'm doing a separate video if it because that blows my mind. The owner of the garage and cafe is farang, but has been there for a very long time, not all of them are his own cars, but his collection is pretty big, there is an Aussie bloke that lives over there who also owns the yellow HK, red HQ, Barracuda, the C10 and the VL & VK's he's just waiting for them to finish some off and then start the VK build (blue meanie V8 too!)

They are definitely going to be done up within due time, the workshop there had a few cars being restored at the time, it's great to see!

there is something wrong here ,when we don't here from the owner ,look not one person around in the buildings ,my mate is a friend in the thai police he has said many of these guys are laundering their drug lord cash incomes ,its sounds very illegal to me

Nah there is a fair few people employed there, cafe was quiet at the time I went but they have 7 people or so working there, the workshop had a few people there including the owner, and their panel beating area has about 4 people doing panel work which I didn't film, I chose not to film them. However keep in mind a few cars are owned by one individual who is getting his cars done up there. It's all legit and the bloke that owns the place is a really nice bloke, not everyone wants to go on camera. I found a bloke in Bangkok that used to work at Holden Bangkok back in the 70's and he had an amazing story but didn't want to go on camera, would have made a great interview!

Nahh must be full of shit , Aussie Ford n Holden's have been exported in their thousands to S E A for years , my fist aussie car i seen 15 years ago was in northern Thailand a HQ wagon diesel powered , I nearly fell for my chair looking at it , Thailand has a huge car culture from around the world , ,
