Hi Doug, the quiicky roof top tent seems to be performing well now you have made a few mods to it. Mine is going well but is always covered by a Tarpaulin, mainly to keep the dust out of the open tray of my Navara. they do beat setting up tents by a mile. lovin' the trip so far mate.

Hi Ian great to hear from you again. Yes the tent works well now & it is the easiest to erect & break down. I did find it was sliding down my rack bars even after repositioning & tightening the bolts. Not a major problem though. I replaced the telescopic arms a while ago & they work well too. I've looked at newer models but this one still fits the bill in all respects so it will stay for a few more trips I hope. Any trips planned for yourself?

Kangaroos are in all states Francisco. Some kangaroos are bigger than others & there are smaller ones called Wallabies. Where I live I have Kangaroos in my garden & they eat the plants & trees. Because we have a small dog now the Kangaroos prefer to stay across the road on our neighbours property but they do come through ours at night which really annoys the dog! People who live in the cities of Australia may have never seen a kangaroo up close but I am fortunate to live on a bush property of 4 acres bordering a national park where the roos breed. The big male kangaroos can be very intimidating when the females are in season. Before we had the dog we raised a Joey which Kaye rescued & we called her Mia. She grew up & had Joey's of her own then she joined a mob of roos in the NP.
