@@AhmeddR6 It was done by so many before him. But Smith was punished more, that's why it's history & put him in the ball tempering spotlight. If he was just punished by ICC, 50% match fee 2 demerit points or something & 1 match ban, it wouldn't have been so viral. Smith was punished by CA. While BCCI let player playing even after they took money from opponent, and Faf Du plessis was not banned forever even after doing it twice.
Aussies are great commentators. They praise where it is due, they show appreciation to quality of play and empathise with opposition players. They are so balanced and fun to listen to.

@ankit It clearly was a no ball. A part of the foot has to be behind the line. But I see Indians are blinded by their jingoism to see the truth yet again.
@@ankitwawage Law 21 relating to no-balls states quite explicitly that some part of the foot (either lowered or raised) has to be behind the popping crease (not on it) at the moment of delivery.
@@ankitwawage The phrase "the line belongs to the umpire" just refers to the fact that anyone who steps on the line but has no part of their foot behind it when they bowl can expect to get called for a no-ball. This is just like any batsman who places their bat on the crease when trying to make their ground but doesn’t get it past it can expect to be given out if the wicket is put down. In both cases, the umpire *normally* gives them out/calls no-ball on the basis that he owns that line and the foot/bat has to be grounded the right side of it. This does not mean that the umpire can do whatever he wants just because he 'owns' the line.

Also I'm not saying that India is poor team, I think this is their best test team of all time. Credit goes to the new talent that India have with Siraj, Washington and Thakur doing really well. And India performed better WITHOUT their main players. They got 36 all out with their strongest team on paper this series. Goes to show that the term "main players" is subjective because India's lineup with Siraj, Washtington and Thakur was actually better than it was with Kohli, Bumrah and Shami!
