📢 When it comes to dogs, there is no shortage of options. Personality, coat, color, size, all of this has plenty of options out there, and it can be a bit overwhelming looking at all the options. For me personally, it helps to try and compare two dogs that are similar to help figure out my tastes, which is why today we are going to compare the Aussiedoodle and the Goldendoodle and what kind of people typically gravitate to both.
👉 A Quick Overview
An Aussiedoodle and a Goldendoodle both share the poodle trait, making both of them generally non-shedding and a great option for those struggling with dog allergies that don’t want to go without a furry companion.
🐶 Aussiedoodle
The Aussiedoodle is a hybrid breed that each year has become more and more popular a family pet. The breed is a mix between an Australian Shepherd breed and either a Standard or Miniature Poodle. The type of Poodle will determine its overall size, and so there is obviously a bit of wiggle room there.
🐶 Goldendoodle
Like the Aussiedoodle, the Goldendoodle is also a mixed breed that includes a Poodle variety of either Standard or Miniature size. The Goldendoodle is perhaps the most popular type of doodle, combining the non-shedding and intelligence of the poodle and the fun-loving and family pet nature of the golden retriever was a slam dunk that was always going to catch the eye of dog lovers.
🦴 Which is Bigger?
Size is a very important piece of the dog puzzle, as what your living situation is like and how much space or free time you have can affect what kind of dog you should get. In the case of the Aussiepoo vs. Goldendoodle debate.
🦴 Temperament
This is a tricky one because both the Aussie and Goldendoodles are known for their intelligence and friendly personalities, but the specifics depend a bit on which one is more significant to you. The Goldendoodle could very well be a bit friendlier, but the Aussiedoodle is probably a bit smarter. Both are great around children and just are pretty similar overall.
🦴 Life Expectancy
The only reason that you don’t see me riding a great done around the streets is because I just can’t imagine having an animal that may not even be able to spend the decade with me. Everyone has their preference, however, and thankfully both of these animals are here for the long haul. A goldendoodle can live 10 to 15 years, while an Aussiedoodle may go for 10 to 16 years...
🦴 Health
Like we said before, health issues can affect any breed, and the Aussiedoodles and goldendoodles are no exception. For Aussiedoodles, their main health conditions are common for either Australian Shepherds or Poodles. They can be more prone to things like skin allergies, concerns with eyes such as cataracts, or issues with movement such as hip dysplasia.
🦴 Appearance
Appearance is a tricky thing for dog owners, since what I may like could be entirely different from what you’re into. The good part about that with both of these dogs is that they are kind of customizable, with a variety of coat colors to choose from! Aussiedoodles typically have a furry too shaggy to curly coat, depending on how similar they are to poodles.
🦴 Grooming
As dog owners, we all have a responsibility to make sure that our dogs are comfortable and feeling like themselves, which is why grooming is so important and can prevent issues like matting from happening to your dog.
🦴 Training
As both the Aussiedoodle and Goldendoodle are known for their high levels of intelligence, training both of these breeds can be an exciting process. They are very quick to learn, which prevents frustration for the most part between you or your animal.

My Aussiedoodle mini is now 9 months. Super smart and completely attached to me. He is a acrobat. He will run directly at me, jump doing a 180 landing perfectly beside my leg, waiting for his hug.

Can I ask how much they typically cost.. I've been having a tough time finding one, do you have any recommendations on how to find one in my area? I live in MN btw... 😊 TIA!

@@emilypihlman4112 we paid $1600 for Max, I am so beyond loving this puppy! We found him in central Illinois, a breeder that has an amazing kennel and his family raises all the puppies. I would look for a breeder that has done the breeding themselves, to avoid a inbreeding problem. Also make sure you can visit their kennels, if they won’t show you their program, run from them. I will get the name of our breeder, I know they will bring a puppy to you. I do not know the cost, we only had to drive 5 hours to meet them.

@@emilypihlman4112we paid $1600 for Max. He is chewing his rawhide looking at me wanting to play! Lol I would look for a breeder that has done the generational breeding themselves, as far as getting a mini. I definitely would research the breeder and make sure you can visit the Kennels. If you can’t visit, ask for references, and call the people that have purchased from them. Our breeder will fly or drive a puppy to you, I don’t know the cost. I will post our breeders company name in a couple hours. Look them up. Then you can compare breeders. Max is about 21 pounds, even though he was supposed to be 8 to 14. He is a A1C mini, but the first litter of this set of parents, and he is perfect. Hope this helps

I laughed when it said golden has "extremely high energy" and Aussie is like "Slightly more energy" it is for real though. My parents aussiedoodle has unlimited energy and acts out when he isn't walked or able to run around and he is a mini type.

Einstein, yes, that's so right. Our Aussiedoodle Lucky is 7 month. Unbelievable how smart they are and how fast they learn. We bought some intelligence toys for dogs, Lucky learned immediately, how they function. I would even recommend intelligence toys for this dogs, they need to be trained mentally and physically. That's the first I've learned with Lucky, before he did a lot of nonsense, chewing in carpets, furniture, etc. Within a very short time i solved this problem, by keeping him also busy in the house.

I have an aussiedoodle. My parents have a golden doodle. My aussiedoodle goes for a short walk almost every day and otherwise he just lays around most of the day. But he is the best dog ever. He is so snuggly, funny and just so adorable. Very easy to train and when he’s trained, he gets it. And he loves people and will snuggle with anyone.

Hey Sarah, they're not the same breed. The Australian Labradoodle breeding line includes the Labrador Retriever, Curly Coat Retriever, Poodle, Irish Water Spaniel, American Cocker Spaniel and English Cocker Spaniel. An Aussiedoodle is a combination of an Australian Shepard and a Standard Poodle. Have a nice day!

@babslan3341
@babslan3341 5 месяцев назад
@@vracan Aussiedoodles barks more, because of the Australian shepherd, which is a watchdog part of him. But within very short time and training, you can stop this aditude fast. It took me a very short time to stop Lucky from barking. Living in a small village with a lot of dogs around us, that bark when you go by their house and garden, our Lucky don't bark, he don't even reply, when we pass somewhere and a dog is barking like mad. It just a matter of learning with your aussiedoodle. There's no other dog that learns faster than him.
