Aussies are retiring later and having to wait to get to spend their own super, yet you have politicians who can retire in their 50’s and have access to their super immediately. It so wrong.
I’ve been diligently working, saving and contributing towards financial freedom and early retirement, but the economy so far since the pandemic has eaten away most of my portfolio, what I want to know is this: Do I keep contributing to my portfolio in these unstable markets or do I look into alternative sectors.
It's often true that people underestimate the importance of financial advisors until they feel the negative effects of emotional decision-making. I remember a few summers ago, after a tough divorce, when I needed a boost for my struggling business. I researched and found a licensed advisor who diligently helped grow my reserves despite inflation. Consequently, my reserves increased from $275k to around $750k.
this is definitely considerable! think you could suggest any professional/advisors i can get on the phone with? i'm in dire need of proper portfolio allocation
There are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’ Melissa Terri Swayne” for about five aiyears now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
Appreciate this recommendation, hopefully I can get some insight to where the market is headed and strategies to beat the downtrend with when I hear back from Melissa.
Poor planning. Sadly many don't think of retirement or financial freedom as they age. The purpose of work is not to be a slave forever. Nothing happens by accident.
@@MelissaHobbs-qm8wi She's incredibly diligent with risk management and her peddle study is spot on. I've been following her guild-lines for a while now, and I can boast six figures in returns.
I was very lucky. I retired at 66 just about the time my health started to slide. Luckily don't need to think about going back to work. Busy with my own projects.
It's such a shame to hear you are finally retired from the rat race and now your health is not good... Best years wasted slaving away..it's not really living life is it.. retirment ages should be going down not up!
I am a 71 year old pensioner who spends 80% of my pension goes on rent and power bill and I only have one meal a day I don't drive my car because I have no money
Thailand is the solution. Thailand is good country to enjoy. Is cheap. Rent is cheap. Food and everything is cheap. Why work till you drop dead. I pay 350$ monthly rent. Cost of living is very cheap. I move to Thailand when I was 38 years old. I refuse to work till 60”.. working poor. No thank you. The beach. The beers. The girls. Is incredible beautiful in Thailand. No kids. Never married. I free. I free. I spent little money. But I enjoy my life. I am now 72”… never regret to move to Thailand. Beautiful Thailand love you Thailand. Australia is too expensive. House. Shops petrol , the most expensive is if you get married. You wife will cost you a lot. Kids too expensive. Never married no kids. I free. Good luck guys. Remember Thailand is the answer to you problem. In Thailand you free to enjoy life.
I retired at 57. Amen. No debts, mortgage free, 32 years as a high school teacher. Feel so blessed. If you can, do it. Personal investments is key with a DB pension. 😊
Who the hell enjoys working! So many better things in life to do other than slaving to work to earn basically nothing..? Time is precious the older you get the more time is worth.
The great Australian dream is just that ....A dream. With high immigration retirment age should be going dramatically down? NOT UP! ..with all the extra tax collected.. plus Australian mining boom and foreign owned companies paying their fair share of taxes ...Aussies should be retiring at 50 years old by now... Life should be getting easier not harder! Especially with all the technology advancments too!
Sell the house and downsize save the marriage. If renting move in with a friend this cost of living crisis isnt getting any better. Or explore moving overseas.
