Joe's pancake is more of a UK style pancake rather than crepe or american style. A little too much salt but is yummy with lemon and sugar (traditional way to serve it)

Thanks everyone who has defended my girlfriend’s family recipe! It is a British style pancake, which isn’t as thick and fluffy as the North American style. However I do have to say I did make it poorly.

When I make boxed pancakes at home, instead of water I use soda (Sprite, Rootbeer, Dr Pepper) It adds fluffy and a subtle sweetness. But you wouldn't know you used soda, like the flavor doesn't carry over

Clauds again try what I suggested below and if boujie is your hearts desire whiskey glaze you some streakie bacon as I think you guys call it on top then add your warmed syrup with the peanut butter. You will have all the components of the "Elvis Sandwich" minus the toast.

I like to make a regular pancake batter(self-rising flour, bit of sugar, pinch of salt, teaspoon of both vanilla/cinnamon, melted butter, water and eggs) and use that to make stuffed pancakes! Make the batter, heat a pan on a low-medium heat and melt a little butter in it, add a scoop of batter and once it starts to steam add a spoon of canned peach/Apple/cherry pie filling in the middle and a bit more batter on top to cover it. Carefully flip it when it bubbles on the edges and then drop an ice cube in and put a glass lid on the pan to steam it a few minutes so it's cooked all the way through. After the ice disappears remove the lid so it gets crispy and serve it with powdered sugar and whipped cream❤❤❤

I'll admit, I also use the packaged pancake mix. I wanna make them from scratch, but all the recipes I see for them call for like two or three tablespoons of baking powder, and that much baking powder leaves an aftertaste.

Pro tip: pour your pancake, let the bottom set a bit and then sprinkle the chocolate chips shortly before you're ready to flip it. Best not to inhibite the fluffiness rise by mixing the chips into the batter. :) Also, Mr. "crepe" man, your pan wasn't hot enough. Those things were not fully cooked, buddy. But we'll let it slide because you sang the Adventure Time song.
