This video was assembled based on Georges's pictures/slides, pictures from a team that visited the wreck and JP from Quebec Forestry who contacted me back in 2008.
The aircraft was on a non-scheduled flight from Moosonee to Nemiscan Settlement Thursday 9 January 1964. The pilot stated that he used the rear fuel tanks for takeoff and cruise and that they contained about 150 gallons of fuel, with about 10-15 gallons in each of the front tanks. About 50 minutes after takeoff the left engine fuel pressure dropped to zero, and the engine failed. The booster pumps were switched on and the tank selections were changed without effect. At this time the right engine fuel pressure dropped to zero, and the engine failed. Attempts to re-start were unsuccessful and when the aircraft was 200 ft above the ground the pilot realized he could not reach the Rupert River. A forced landing was made into trees about 1000 ft from the river with the undercarriage down. Both pilots were severely injured.
Examination of the wreckage showed that the front fuel tanks were empty and no fuel had apparently been used from either of the rear tanks. Damaged beyond repair final location is near Rupert River, Eeyou Istchee Baie-James, Northern Quebec, QC (20-25km southeast of Waskaganish).

Hey Ron, my dad worked with George out of S. Porcupine from the 50s to 1966. He name was Al Scully. As a wee lad, I clearly remember visiting Mr. Charity’s house and seeing his home built plane. ❤😊

@@ronjcharity The bush was thick yes, even after the forest fire in the '80s and the big one last year, I ended up walking out of the forest to wade through the river until it looked like I was a straight line on GPS, and went back through the bush, there are a few narrow but deep rivers or creeks that almost make a circle around the crash . Last year's fire also made the bogs dry and walkable instead of quicksand. The bugs in the Hudson Bay/James Bay lowlands I think are worse than in the Yukon, northern bc, or northern Ontario. You can save yourself a bunch of trouble and boat until you're in a straight line with the wreck and head into the woods save you a big muddy, sooty buggy hike. I planned on boating in but the satellite photos made the river look waaaaay rougher than I actually was. The river was glass smooth taunting me for hiking.
