I am 14 years old from TAIWAN, and I used to know that there was Elvis Presley, but I didn't know much about it. Ever since I stumbled across this movie on TV once, I don't know what to say, it's brilliant. After that, I was excited to find my parents to watch it for the second time. It's incredible that I can fall in love with singers from the last century at my age! 😢😢

Austin Butler should have won Academy Awards for: “Best leading role;” “Best new picture;” “Best Sound;” “Best Wardrobe;” and “Best Production!” He was the perfect choice for this role and did a fabulous job! How and why he was skipped over or overlooked in any category in tonight’s presentations is a travesty to say the least and the Hollywood Elite should be ashamed of themselves for blatantly ignoring his impressive talents! Shameful.

That is very true that Austin brought Elvis to a whole new generation! My then 15 yr old granddaughter knew who Elvis was and she was familiar with some of his songs. She also knew who Austin Butler was from a couple TV shows but she didn't know much about him. We went to see the movie when it came out in June. She was blown away by Austin 's portrayal of Elvis and has since become a major Elvis as well as Austin Butler fan. She has watched some of Elvis's old movies and has T shirts and blankets and other things depicting Elvis . She drew a picture of Elvis in the pink suit and has it as well as the big Movie poster of Austin as Elvis hanging on her bedroom wall. She also has many of Elvis' songs on her playlist that she listens to all the time!!

Part of Austin's appeal is his humble attitude . You can tell that he is very grateful to be where he is now. Some of the other young actors are just so cocky and full of themselves. Everyone who has interviewed Austin falls in love with him! He has it all, talent , drop dead gorgeous looks and seems to have a great deal of respect for everyone.

The Elvis movie was one movie I personally went to the movies to see 11 times, I haven’t done this for any other movie, The real Elvis was long before my time, I’m a millennial , but I grew up with my parents listening to Elvis music still to this day. He needed to win that, he worked so hard. I felt like it was rigged personally. I know he has won a TON already but I felt Elvis was so much better than these films that won. Elvis was way more popular than these, some of them I never even heard of that won, I'm glad Brandon Frazier won what he did and I think Austin was happy for him but I wanted at least 1 for Elvis.

I think they didnt make him win becuase the system thinks that to the public it would he too cliche for the most popular thing to win minus acting becuase elvis was the most popular thing there they're trying to prove that they're professional or some bs and that it can be the most dry movie oh but we only care about pure acting skills even though Austin was the best they just don't want to pick a performance from a movie that already has a fan base

The Oscars truly lost its luster after snubbing Austin. He was amazing in Elvis. I am glad and proud of BAFTA and the other award shows who recognized Austin's talents by having real brains to know what true quality was then gave it to the ones who truly did their homework and performed. Ok, this will be my final protest comment against Hollywood’s refusal to award Austin Butler a well-deserved Oscar while hyper-praising and over-awarding less deserving movies and actors in our humble opinions. I propose that we Austin Butler fans create a People’s Award Show 2.0 which will fairly and more accurately award the talents of more deserving actors and movies minus the politics. We will fairly evaluate and award movies like “Elvis” and actors like A.B. who are much more deserving!

The Elvis movie gave the world's millions and millions of fans the best acting performance ever by Austin portraying Elvis and singing his music!
