*Australia's best in their history of participating at Eurovision is without second of thinking is their song from 2023. "Promise" is one the few metal songs that makes me happy, they can scream and growl at me and i'll jump around from happines. Voyager the most charismatic band i've ever seen. BTW, anyone knows how is Danny doing with his health? I'm wisihng him a speed recovery.*

I was lucky enough to have watched the semi final rehearsal in Liverpool and got so surprised and excited (I think I screamed 😅) when the stage staff rolled in a car onto the stage 🎉 for the performance, Australia 2023 was really good and I'm glad they had been in the top ten 🙌💪💯

I feel so bad for montaigne... At first the contest was canceled in 2020, but she got another shot, so its gonna be fine... right? Nope. She againt didnt get to perform on stage and that was probably part of her not making it to the finals a she was basically forgotten by everyone. Would be bad already, but she is also now australias first and for now only non qualifier...

Australia has proved with different Artist and styles but no one like Guy Sebastian and his Tonigh Again. Since 2015 I've followed his career and I'm sure He is the Best Artist Australia has send to Eurovision ever. The last year with the Voyager election I hope They continue picking up Strong Artist. One thing I love about our country's entries is how diverse they are- the people, the songs, the staging. We are such a diverse country and I feel we have represented that well. We feel very privileged to be in Eurovision and we will give it everything we have for as long as we are in it

Australia is the best example of how the entire thing needs to be expanded. Make it global, there's no need for it to still just be in one corner, the world's too connected now for that. Australia is not non European we are a commonwealth country and still legally and financially a part of the United Kingdom.

@@CeasefireNow2024 Australia is not in Europe, simple. By your logic New Zealand could also be in it along with 51 other countries. Australia may have European heritage, but so does the US and Canada. Also, true we are ruled by the UK head of state (at arms length via a Governer General) but we are legally and financially our own country thanks, we can leave the commonwealth whenever we want with a simple referendum. Don't get me wrong, very happy we're in it, just not sure why, or why our 'guest' spot doesn't rotate with other countries around the world to share the love.

Sorry I'm answering quite late Australia has been broadcasting the show since the 1980s because of its huge European descent population The Eurovision participants have to have a viable broadcaster, in european(ish) territory it's the EBU (which is why Israel and Morocco participated) Many people were watching the show in Australia, so for the 60th anniversary Australia was a guest participant and since they did well they have maintained that status ever since Hope it's clear because English isn't my first language :)

2023 was the final year they were allocated in their extended agreement with the EBU, which is why talks about whether Australia would join for 2024 took so much longer this year (one of the very last countries to confirm) as the SBS was having to renegotiate a new deal with the EBU. Fortunately, they have and Australia is back, however no word on the future whether this is permanent or not.

Kate Miller-Heidke and Voyager are the only ‘white’ artists they’ve sent. Guy is Sri Lankan, Dami is Korean, Isaiah is indigenous, Jessica is indigenous and Indonesian, Montaigne is Latina and Sheldon is Filipino.

Eurovision is shown on Australia's SBS - whose charter is to provide non-English, non-white and diverse programming. So it makes sense Australia's entries are from diverse backgrounds.

We all know Guy Sebastian did so well in 2015 is because it was a novelty to be in the competition. Same can be said about Armenia and Azerbaijan. The newbies always do well. I expect Luxembourg to top the charts in 2024
