I swear, your videos are seriously better than almost any show I’ve seen.. wishing I could travel right now but thanks for the great content as usual man!
This channel is undervalued by at least 1000 percent. Karl you have just incredible filming skills. KEEP IT UP!! There is never a moment in your videos which would not keep my eyes on a screen.
Karl if you are reading this. One of your first subscribers of yours. I have been gone for a while due to business. Coming back and seeing this ....Priceless. Keep up the good work. You are one of the best RU-vidrs out there.Much love
i put one of your vids on for my girl the other day and started on Estonia then jumped onto the Philippines. The quality has increased so much between the two. Other travel pages are over the top with drone shots and they only show the highlights. What makes your ones great is that you say it how it is. That British mentality makes the videos fun, interesting and honest. Its not all glamour. The long journeys, the scams, the injuries, the financial side of things etc etc. These vids are always good for a rainy day. I felt that with the hk2ny ones we missed so much from Australia as you had to cram them into a short video. There's so much to see and so many adventures so this was a really good idea to make this video/ Looking forward to watching them both
Cheers. Yeah on HK2NY the video didn’t do the east coast justice at all. We had an amazing time but in terms of filming, we were half way through the trip and I was just burnt out with it, nearly gave up on it actually. So it was great to go back all these times and film the hell out of it! 😊
these vids really inspire me to do more with my footage but i hate the sound of my own voice. Plus half the time we were drunk and taking the piss. Definitely gonna make more effort with my next trips though. Keep up the good work
Another great documentary Karl, so we'll edited (as usual) the footage from all your different visits fits together so well. You're a great storyteller. Looking forward to episode 2 ✌️
We really enjoyed this mini series you've worked to hard on creating for us all to enjoy. As Queenslanders we are so used to this part of the globe, so it's been wonderful to see it from a foreigners' perspective. I have enjoyed your travel documentary style for many years & actually you're one RU-vid who inspired me to create my channel. Thank you Karl for taking the time to create these videos for us all to enjoy. Your films have come a long way over the years ♥️
I met your Dutch friend in Amsterdam, the girl you travelled with in Central America and I recognised her from one of your videos. Thought you might find this funny. Love your videos Karl, content like this is just what people crave these days! Hopefully I can travel like you have one day
Another epic one Karl! Makes me blaaaady miss Aus big time. Love the new fresh format of multiple story lines! Great stuff. You gotta get over here to the Pacific Northwest in the states!
KW needs to hire me as his agent/manager so I can get him to produce vid/content for The Travel Channel or another global platform! Absolutely amazing content and I am only 14 minutes in! I can re-watch his series days after I re-watch them! But the again....this is "normal" for/by him!
Such an enjoyable watch. Your personality always shines through. Great effort putting these disparate vids together to make a flowing, informative, entertaining 40 minutes. Keep up the good work. 👍👍
Awesome 👏 job @karlwatson👏👏👏👏The Great Barrier Reef 👀 looked very healthy and incredible . U can tell they manage this reef with utmost care. Thank you for the Excellent footage❤️❤️❤️ Sorry for your Shoulder. I know how challenging Shoulders are. Been to therapy myself for both strained Shoulders
Absolutely love your videos mate! Being a backpacker myself, I relate to these videos so much more than other travel videos I’ve seen on RU-vid. Such a great way to distract myself from what’s going out in the world! My body is ready to travel again in 2021!
Being on the 60+ side of life I am more into the chilling rather than the thrilling side of life...lol...thanks so much for the little bright spot in my day today...make sure to have yourself a great weekend!
Brought me right back to when I backpacked Australia!! I kept saying “ohhh Ive been there and ohh I did that “It was like I was in Australia again great video!! It brought back a lot of memories !! Look forward to the next episode!
I've been watching your videos for the last few years so it was strange feeling to see you visit my home town of Noosa. It is a beautiful spot, unfortunate I have to move to Darwin for work. Being a keen traveler myself I can't wait until we can all start traveling overseas again!
Class mate! Like the way youve split this into 2 journeys/stories with STA and Jacob. You and that bloody shoulder man lol will do aus and NZ at some point just need to save up a few more pennies than i would for other travels. Keep it up mate and look forward to ep.2 👍
Cheers Chris, yeah Aus & NZ takes a bit more planning ahead so you can actually budget for all the awesome things to do out there (which aren't cheap!)
Wow great episodes, lovely to watch when we’re not able to travel! Btw I totally understand the struggles and the fear with the shoulder dislocation, and it’s nice to hear someone else talk about it. Mine dislocated during a scooter accident in the Philippines. I always have a fear of dislocating it again with activities like cliff jumping but also in some normal day activities.
quick way, but it takes us in england quicker to fly somewhere in europe than you to fly south to north lol crazy how large australia is .. (and how small europe is)
@@1stklass yes totally agree, some parts of Europe you can have crossed into another country with a 2-3 hour drive, but here in Australia that might not have even got you over a state border
@@joshuabryan319 In London it takes me 45 minute flight to arrive in Amsterdam, and from London I can be in Asia in 4 hours (turkey) Dubai (5hours), or. Africa egypt in 4 hours. It's very good place to travel from. But I cannot wait to visit Australia one day. Where do you live in aus? or where do you recommend me to go to first?
@@1stklass amazing that same time is pretty much the distance to fly from one coast to the other. I live in Melbourne (a must travel location) but if it is beaches and sun you want then definitely Queensland. Sydney is okay but very touristy.
Awesome video, that skyscraper walk looked so epic, would love to do it one day, Brisbane looks like a placed I could move into, I really struggle to imagine though how did you manage to continue shooting with one hand that time, however you did it - well done 👍🏻
Backpackers think that Queensland has the best scenery in Australia but that is far from the truth . Every state of Australia has incredible scenery . I have lived in Australia all my life , so I know .Thanks for the great video anyway !
@@karlwatsondocs ffs I dreamt the two of us went camping last night in some nondescript, weird patch of wasteland in a residential area. Was as shit as it sounds. 2020 be gone! I clearly need a holiday. Stay safe bud!
Before I clicked to watch I was like 🤔 given our borders are closed apart from certain oz states. After all we only have 8 active cases. This will be helpful as 2021 will be the year of travelling in my own backyard. And I love how your channel is like a documentary or an epic travel show.
Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries your channel is awesome! I am glad that I can watch one on my state as anywhere else is on hold for now. We are basically just down to a 1.5 metre rule so I expect I will be able to do most of this on my next holiday.
Great video editing and delivery.....Please do more of this kind of videos as documentary. Please make a visit to Malaysia, Indonesia, Islands of Borneo and also South India particularly Tamil Nadu forest reserves.
40 minutes long! I don’t believe it, felt like 5 Max........you really do have a talent for story telling buddy, looking forward to next weeks episode and this whole shit show of the pandemic to be over and done with. Well done fella another beauty. G.
Wow, that made me want to go. and you have only covered on a section of Australia. Are these trips for young folk only, which I appreciate you fit in well with do they allow oldies to do such things or are they kept in hotels out of the way lol YOur videos so make me wish I was young again When I was young and exciting trip was to go toNew Brighton on the Mersey Ferries! You only went to Australia if you were emigrating and that cost your £10, A lot of money even then lol Young folk get the opportunity to do so many fun things these days Great video and excellent linking together!
Thanks Paul. All of the activities shown are open to people of all ages, the reason all the footage is of young people is because I was filming for STA Travel, and that was their target audience, so that's who I filmed :)
@@karlwatsondocs I take a lot of inspiration from your vids for both my travels and video work. Keep it up, bro, haven't seen many other channels like yours 👌🏻
This is giving me ideas for my first holiday overseas. Im only in New Zealand but I've never left it and I want to. Due to health reasons I've never been able to work and save up money to travel. But I want it so badly. Is there a video you've made that shows how to travel on a budget or have you tried traveling with little money? I've seen others trying it , but I like your video style and would rather watch you do it
Haven’t made it video specifically like that. The way to keep costs down when travelling in Aus is stay in dorms in hostels, cook your own food in the hostel kitchens, use greyhound pass to travel around, and drink goon to save money on alcohol 😉
@@karlwatsondocs Can't wait man... Seriously need to come along, can you try make it so if tickets sell out too quick we can book it ourself and still come along to maybe not all but atleast some of the things?? (potential meet-up in europe) Karl u are the man!!! p.s. i still got that blunt rolled 4 u !!!!
As a local of the gold coast I would just like to say keep your eyes open wile bush walking as we have a bad drop bear problem at least 30 people a year die from them
