It took me a while but I finally got my first Australian garbage truck video! Here is Remondis picking up my dorm and a shopping center on a Saturday morning. Brisbane has 5 major haulers servicing city commercial accounts; JJ Richards, Brisbane City/Suez, Remondis, Cleanaway/ToxFree and Veolia. Just on my street alone there is Remondis, ToxFree, JJ Richards, and Brisbane City. They also have 3 streams; trash, commingle, and fibres. 1100s and 660s, 240s and 120Ls mostly replace dumpsters but there are still a few here and there. I get an idea as to why LA implemented RecycLA, as diversion here is poor at best. Most of the time 1 truck is collecting everything. It's also not very streamline as trucks are running anywhere from 2AM to 9AM 6 days a week in the CBD. Onto the truck now! It's a newer truck on a MAN chassis and unfortunately thats all I know lol. (btw they have Heil RLs here) The trucks here also seem "smart". It auto packs, something that America doesn't have on RLs, and the catch bar seems to auto adjust to the cart/bin height which I think is cool to see. Thanks to the great driver! And school is over for the summer so I will try to get more videos of Remondis and the other various haulers.
