According to the internet around 700 of these were made. Have you seen one in real life? How many are left?

I remember seeing one as a kid when they were near new. What made it memorable was the tiny car going fast and getting a bit bouncy, noisy and smokey doing it. Lots of suspension travel. I seem to remember what I would now call swing axle tuck in. On a straight suburban main road but built in the twenties and not rebuilt or maintained much until the late seventies. Even though it had to be a less than five years old car , it struck me as rapidly deteriorating and so bought cheaply. Would have seen others but that one definitely stuck in my mind for those reasons. The Darts were a bit of a talking point among sports car interested eight year olds then but just judged them on looks.

Someone needs to produce something similar…for the low speed vehicle designation, that is supported by recently passed DOT regulations!

what a laugh! very entertaining video. we had an ad (Australia) where they featured a goggomobile "Yellow Pages - 'Go Go Mobile' (Australian ad, 1992)" (on youtube) and later they did ANOTHER with the dart i didn't find, but SHANNONS insurance covered the Dart with the same guy "Shannons Insurance: Goggomobil Dart - Television Commercial" (youtube ) goggomobile dude (RIP) also was famous for doing ads for Don smallgoods "Is Don Is Good ad"( several on youtube). like a trip down memory lane, although i vaguely remember the ad you showed being about Holden Cars not Zeta ;)

If i ever owned one, i would have to look into getting that shifting system moved lol. I wonder if anyone could relocate it to a column shift. having your leg on it sounds like a whole world of trouble.

Most people suggest hayabusa, or jet ski conversion. Banshee would make more sense.

@@nashtubb just heaps of bolt in aftermarket parts for the banshee that I have noticed. I think I would do some suspension & a roll cage first though! So much potential lol. It would be a bit of a travesty to mod such an old vehicle that runs fine though.
