The Australian government refuses to sign a declaration that would see the country shift to using nuclear energy by 2050, but who is right in the battle? Australia or the rest of the world?
Nuclear energy activist Will Shackel joins us.

The difference between William Shackel and Greta Thunberg is that William Shackel is passionate but respectful particularly when approaching the world leaders also He was transparent about how he got to COP 28 also why being pro nuclear he is not anti renewable since William Shackel can sense that mood at COP 28 is find a way that Nuclear and Renewables can work together to bring down emissions and still provide cheap, reliable energy for the citizens in each respective country! To put it simply the world Leaders feel that both nuclear and renewables have a role to play in the energy mix of each country also most countries are more focused on 2050 instead of 2030 when it comes to emissions enough said !

What will happen with Bowen if we have to stop buying cheap plastic Chinese wind, solar, battery back-ups and kilometres of power line renewable toys? What will happen with Bowen if Australia goes nuclear on land as we do at sea with our submarines in time to come?

By the scientific facts you fool 🤦‍♂️ Every single thing Bowen says about nuclear is completely false and is blatantly provable by the numbers. His plan will cost Trillions to implement which is exponentially more than nuclear will ever cost. The technology is not the 1950’s technology of the Chernobyl reactor. Anyone who is against it, which is only a minority by all available polls, is an uneducated simpleton.

Some new generation SMR and MSR Nuclear Reactors are awesome. They will be everywhere within a decade except in Australia. Renewables and batteries can only deliver base-load 100% of the time when we can control the weather. Meanwhile we’ll be building new coal power plants … smart!
@philipwong895
@philipwong895 Месяц назад
The government can limit expenditure until a nuclear power project is operational and generating electricity by structuring power purchase agreements (PPAs) with a "pay-as-you-go" model, wherein payments commence only when the plant supplies electricity to the grid. The developer or operator bears the financing burden during construction through private investment or loans. Once operational, the government purchases electricity based on actual generation, mitigating financial risk and incentivizing private sector investment while ensuring taxpayer funds are spent only on delivered services. This approach fosters efficient risk allocation, encourages project completion, and maintains accountability through performance monitoring outlined in the PPA.

People who say it is slow and expensive are wrong. No one knows what a product costs until there is a modern factory set up to build it. And there is no factory for nuclear power. In the 1980's it was built like a Cathedral, with extra bureacracy to slow things down to a crawl. Thats not how you make safe cheap clean reliable stuff on schedule!

Nuclear heaters are cheap. Grids are fragile because they are expensive. So, getting all the new electricity to the millions and millions and millions of ends of the existing grid will be tricky. No fossil fueled future means 5times bigger capacity grid for 5times more electricity. Silence is deafening on grid construction costs. Hello hello anyone home hello 👋 No increase in grid cost and more electricity would be brilliant. EVs are increasingly popular.
@stephenbrickwood1602
@stephenbrickwood1602 7 месяцев назад
Does everyone know what the cost of new transmission grids cost. Most nuclear promoters will tell you that grid costs are economically killers for distant renewable. 66% of electricity bills are grid costs. To quote a nuclear promoter. So 5 times more grid capacity for 5 times more electricity in the no fossil fueled future world. Read about grid costs and then add that cost to new nuclear plants. The existing national grid is fragile because it is extremely expensive and so it is not overbuilt. Charlie Munger said much the same thing about grid costs. Most people don't think beyond the nuclear heaters added to power plants. Charlie said military defence budgets will explode and that would be a good investment. 9billion people not using fossil fuels and building nuclear industries is a massive market. 80% of the world's population is in dictatorships and thay will bend over backwards to build nuclear industries. No CO2 proliferation is wonderful. Huge grid building projects and massive mining and refining and smelting and fabrication. CO2 will be a short 20years burst and then pure clean electricity. Electric vehicles and batteries will also explode in production. Mining and minerals and.....

We are literally one of the hottest countries on earth and our water is scarce most of the time how we post to keep the rod cool one we really don’t want to nuclear power plant, close to the ocean because I don’t want to see no mutant three eyes fish around our ocean all you need to do is look at multiple countries that have nuclear power plants and I’m telling you they have three eyes fish and the water supply plus where is the nuclear waste go Plus I do not want an independent company to own nuclear power plants. It should be a government own only if we’re gonna go nuclear. Also, we should make calls that we should not use our nuclear waste or nuclear materials for weapons and we should not sell or dump and nuclear waste overseas so that’s why I’m not really in nuclear fan I really don’t want Chernobyl or Fukushima catastrophe in Australia with a nuclear plant because of tsunami bushfires, or earthquake

B) Your a polititian who has a staked financial interest and potential profit from the individual failing. C) your ignorant. @@keepitreal2902 AEMO had no nuclear in it's plans because of the current moratorium. The whole thing is a mess.
