That first penalty...one of the greatest in rugby history. Elton Flatley is also so underappreciated for his composure not once but twice under the most insane pressure.
This was one of our greatest moments in Rugby History, and the first match I watched when I was 11. England deserved the win that year, also I'm a huge fan of All Blacks :)
A brilliant year for me, England win the World Cup, I became a fly half after watching Jonny Wilkinson and his superb kicking, and the same year my first niece was born…overall a great year😁
Eddie Jones - 2003 : coaches Australia. Loses to England in the 2003 RWC Final. 2007 : wins a medal as assistant to Jake White, when South Africa wins the RWC. 2019 : coaches England, and loses the RWC. 2021 : coaches England, who beat South Africa 27-26 at Twickenham. The man is incredible.
@@kimok4716 : yes. That defeat against Japan was humiliating. South Africa avenged its defeat in 2015, by beating Japan in 2019. In a quarter-final encounter of the World Cup, held in Japan. During that World Cup, South Africa would cross swords again with Eddie Jones - during the Final, against England. South Africa beat the Roses 32-12. The Springboks especially outscrummed England, during that Final. In fairness, England were exhausted by the time it reached the Final, after beating Australia, and then New Zealand.
I’d say it was the players who decided that day they would win because they knew they were ready, because every time as they walked out to the field Martin Johnson would turn and say some words of encouragement but that day he turned, looked at his men and saw in their eyes today is their day, today is Englands day
Lost count how many times I have watched this epic game ...still weep with pride...! Shame there had to be losers ... I lie yeah.....we beat them ! BEST ever sporting moment !
