They needn't worry. There'll be plenty of loopholes. After all, the only reason students study in Australia is the chance to work and stay. Otherwise they'd just do it online.
yes, freedom but rules, democracy but slavery, developed but developing and changing, opened for all but more RULES and BOX. Nothing is true in 4legs world
Not only him, the finance coming from NGOs internationally is the biggest problem, they essentially bribe Government, our Universities, Corporations, workplaces, to include their way, include this, include that.....they are the biggest problem that the politicians keep hush about. They get brib....ummm 'donations' to promote all of the junk we are battling with today.
Finance has no borders, money from LGBT, BLM, India, China, the Vatican all has to stop....these are essentially bribes which influences decision making....it is not a coincodence we are now seeing all latino immigrants rocking up....all Catholics, all Vatican funded. Our politicians willingly accept the 'funding', they dont have any integrity or social responsibility!
Are you indirectly referring that non Aussies in Australia, should be categorized as second class citizens ? Every country treats their people well, including Australia. Immigrants are backbone of the economies of the rich world. And for that backbone if our govts have to take some steps to ensure if they are fairly compensated for working in their countries, then what's wrong with that ? Because of the same immigrants and outsourcing, we are able to access services much cheaper. But problem with native population is that , they want it both ways at the same time.
Great move Australia its about time the government started tightening up on the people who are rorting the temporary visa system. The number of foreigners here on temporary visas is out of control especially student visas and a lot more needs to be done to cut levels back to a number that the infrastructure can handle. We do not need more unskilled workers we need people with specific skills and they should be applying through the normal permanent mmigration channels not trying to take short cuts by manipulating our temporary visa system.
If they're bringing their big money into Australia, who cares, it's is a major export opportunity. Instead of maximising the benefit to Australia, we just added a bunch of incomprehensible rules that nobody can understand.
@xpusostomos No, immigrants with big money are the absolute worst for Australian Public, because they just makes Housing more unaffordable because that is what they buy - inc multiple investment properties in cash. My own family did this too, good for me, but it's terrible for the country.
@@pebblepod30 what, you want poor immigrants who'll want social housing and rent subsidies? You have a false scarcity view of the world... The only scarcity in housing is caused by government regulation... People who invest in housing provide a rental property and directly or indirectly cause more housing to be built. Of course this is a different issue to how many immigrants we want and can absorb in a particular time frame. One could make an argument we don't need immigrants at all ... But if we are to have them, rich ones are the best... They also tend to have businesses and other skills that will help the country. In principle, building big apartment blocks is a fantastic export business... We're not really short of land, you can fit a billion dollars of real estate on a fairly modest sized block of land, you don't even have to bother shipping the export out of the country, and then you can tax it forever. It's a beautiful thing.
Yeah Albo we don’t need more Uber drivers our hospital waitlist, lack of housing and stop this cheap labour. Skilled labour only not these useless student visa over stays

There should be some investigation on these IT consulting companies as well. They keep alive job postings and conduct fake interviews for the Australians here and after that they just onboard someone from offshore on less salary. I have been watching this trend from long time. Dept should do a random feedback from people who were rejected showing that company is not getting skilled workers locally.
@@paulphotios3920 yes 👍 ++ Role is Software engineer and responsibilities like a Architect. I wish there should be something done for these companies. Who are involved in such scam.
I agree, now these IT people in suits walking around city might be getting < $A100, whereas the actual salary should be $A170++, therefore my son is still looking for a job, Australian born, studied at Uni Syd, done other IT linked studies at UTS, plus researcher, writer, developer, currently studying BioMed Engineering, fluency in Japanese, German, & can speak little bit of Hindi, so forth and its hard for him to get employment after leaving contracted job as Business Analyst at a TV Station in Artarmon, he just cant apply for any other jobs because he is over qualified, and don't stand a chance, so these people with less qualified than him get jobs so easily, whereas he is trying hard to get a job in his field & waiting for months, this is not fair
This is going on for years . Very late but right decision. Many visitors even over 50 yrs study some certifications courses and live permanently. They don’t know basic English since they haven’t cleared ielts or have any educational or experience that would benefit Australia.
I love the grounded reality of this channel!!! Retirement took a toll on my finances, but with my involvement in the digital market, $35,000 weekly returns has been life changing. AWESOME GOD❤️

@@margotblanchette3767 Too naive and weak for that, keep paying with cards giving away all of your personal spending habits to a privately run bank along with Visa and Mastercard, stock exchange listed companies who serve shareholders, not you
The immigration lawyers need to be held to account. Every foreign student I've met has one that tells them exactly what to do to get here, stay here, and get temporary/permanent residency. They're like travel agents.
Besides student visa s our govt should look at Extremism is not brought into our country. Islamic background people should be discouraged to come here . As they impose their hard rules on others .
@@cooljool1… who’s side are you on here ? and where are you from? We’re are talking about the rights of Australian citizens here, not foreigner immigrants…ok ?
You would want any visitor or immigrant to Australia to follow Australian values as specified in the Australian Values Statement. This involves people making reasonable efforts to learn English if this is not their native language. The Australian Values Statement includes "parliamentary democracy" whereby laws are determined by parliaments elected by the people, those laws being paramount and overriding any other inconsistent religious or secular “laws”.
Yep and they are going to get booted. Australians have had enough of his crap policies and pushing through legislation without any public scrutiny. Oh and 2 New jet planes for himself funded by the tax payers. About time we stop paying them for doing a crap job and stop their pensions. Make them live of the super like the rest of us.
Marxism already taught pretty extensively within the schooling system in Australia unfortunately. The population overall live a nanny state. Be nice if there was a dramatic shift, but doesn’t look like a lot of competence within the political system
Noone can escape from RULES and GAMES the west set. freedom but rules, democracy but slavery, developed but developing and changing, opened for all but more RULES and BOX. Nothing is true in 4legs world
I see a flaw in this new law; when a student wants to extend, they will be given the chance to become permanent... did anyone else see that? Of course, all students will want to become permanent, and judging by past govt labor behavior, all will succeed. This is not good... opens a can of worms.
if thats the case then we will have every student becoming Australian citizen, and the rest of oncoming students will follow later into an open permanency door, noted how the swarm of young people around city has increased,
Though not their own fault (it was govt policy to oppose public interest) wealthy immigrants are the absolute worst because them buying multiple investment properties in cash does a lot to make housing more expensive for locals. I many Asian countries it is illegal for foreigners to own properties, as it should be.
Pumping money into our economy ?? seriously ?? Look at house prices skyrocketing !! Our children cannot afford to buy a house anymore, and they cannot even afford to rent … they can’t even find houses for rent either … And when Albo first came to power, he toured the world with taxpayers money !! 🤯
This should apply to all countries including NZ, you can shut the door & bolt it but if there is one window you forget to close & lock...there will always be a way in!
OMG what a pack of lies they are doing a half hearted job cause people are sick of what’s going on, I couldn’t believe it when I heard one of the categories they deem Australian need in the work force and Yoga Instructor is not about to come out and fix my plumbing or do renovations it’s unbelievable how out of touch the Government is in what we need if it doesn’t benefit them.
they all come here for menial tasks because whoever sponsors or dept of immigration thinks that we older parents who spent their 3/4 life here cant do the job, what a joke
English Language Competency. Yeah, there are plenty of students in Australian universities who do not even possess basic English skills, let alone the skills needed to complete their studies. How did they get here? They purchased their language certificate. Maybe this should have a crackdown on, instead of increasing the language requirements. They will just buy better certificates. I also love it when I meet a delivery guy and I ask him something and his response is: "Sorry, no Engish". Surely he got through the system through on his own merits, not bribing officials or using fake papers.
Graduates whose skills are needed in Australia & contribute to the Australian society should be allowed to stay, after their graduation. For example Nursing students who graduated & is a registered nurse, should be allowed to stay. They can apply for residency & citizenship eventually. This kind of skill are always needed as our aging population grows.
Trouble is we already have qualified nurses who are pushed out of jobs so that the pipeline of new graduates can be maintained. This is the same in many fields. Nobody wants to turn of the tap from higher international student fees, gov incentives for student placements etc.
No they should not be allowed to stay the same rules must apply to everyone, if you have taken the advantage of studying and graduating in your specific field that's great that's why these students came to Australia choosing to live permanently here is a a whole new situation and the Law of the land says you must apply through the appropriate channels and that means applying FROM the country of your nationality, these are the rules they must be respected.
Bit too late! Damage is done, other Countries were onboard with this years ago, most even shut their door’s. Australians are now living at poverty level, not enough housing, couples are working their guts off to put food on the table, but yeah let’s bring more people to this Country, does that makes sense?
Student visa now not like before 10-15 years ago. Now students visa they're not good attitude n characters. They drink alcohol/smoking in public area, drunk, speeding, jumping ticket's gate
The Government actually got this right, although it still doesn't go far enough, but credit where credit is due, they actually did something right, which proves that even a stopped analogue clock is right twice a day.
New Zealand have these laws if you don’t have work references and can’t speak English important. Very strict laws they won’t let you work if you can’t speak English. They can’t employees overstayers
Anyone who wants to stay, will be able to without effort. Anybody believes that the Prime Minister is going to make it harder is deluded. Given he’s given visas to over 2000 people who have come from an area affiliated with those billionaires in Qatar.
Thank you for your information......This information is useful to everyone for those who can acquired knowledge about their Australian visa and extend their stay throughout the video for your good analysis ...Thank you again...

The students come to Australia with no mind to return they just keep visa hopping and immigration just keep helping them to keep hopping, can you blame them
yet my friend worked and paid taxes and loves this country had to leave here because of a failed marrige worked as a skilled worker they cannot replace him in a rural area and in his country is still waiting 6mths for his sponsored visa approval ...😢
Not only students but government should akso review current 482 work visa and dependant visa because most of them are working on skills which are not rare abd are easily available here but they are available ate cheap rates initially then they demand more which kills the opportunity for locals
I’d add - all English test must be done in Australia. No fake ielts or similar from Asia, where they can be bought or embellished and the holders don’t understand and can’t speak basic English
Great work Australia ,,,This is the right thing to do; absolutely correct citizen first before them ...Finally this should lower the abuse of visa these steps should have been taken long time ago ...But it says in the proverb'' it never been too late'" Go Go Go Australia for the progress....
All countries shouldnot Make agelimit for nurses Ans nurses studied through english and why Again making somany test and what is your meani g you are gaining money in your countery
Should restrict the intake of other category as well. Over the years, the quality and behaviour of Australians (by singing advance australia fair) have gone down.
Good should tight up visa application Australia have too many overseas students taking our job look at people from china they all working at construction sites Malaysian they all working at grocery stores the Australian immigration doesn’t do anything special Goodluck plaza Mt Druitt 9/10 working more than the hours they allow to work that’s why Australia unemployment rate keep going up because overseas students taking all our jobs
That's because they, in general, work a lot harder. A majority of 20 to 35 year olds in Australians have a precious, entitled, and lazy work effort . Theres ample work out there if you are serious about working hard. The Australian work ethic of this age group is nowhere near as loyal, hardworking and respectful as other countries. It's well known among businesses that the Eastern countries' younger workers work so much harder than Australians that's why they hire them over Australians. They work for less and work twice as hard. Who wouldn't hire them? It's not as simple as most think it is actually.
Do you know if there's gonna be any significant changes on working holiday visa holders? Most of the info was related to students but WH holders also carry a temporary visa

why Australian economy so dependent on education industry in order to make money? Dubai or Singapore does not give so many student visas because there economy does not dependent on education industry. Australia should modernize its economy.
Does Australia have abilities to transfer to high tech, international financial centre or other services type economy?no, how can we upgrade our country?it's too hard

All people who come from COMMONWEALTH COUNTRIES this does not apply eg, India, Canada, New Zealand ect,.......overseas students the majority are from CHINA\HONG KONG, PHILLIPINES mostly from Asian countries, these young people come from wealthy backgrounds and their parents can afford to send their children to Australia..and very easy to apply for Student/working Visa's...if however you come from America, Italy, Spain, France ect.,.... any non Commonwealth country applying for student/work Visa's is and has been very difficult. A relative from Italy applied for a visa to work and study in Australia......very strict laws apply. Every 6 months she had to return to Italy and apply for another visa to returne to continue her studies and must have same place of employment to do so. After 3 to 4 years of complying with Australian law, she then was allowed to apply for citizenship. She is now an Australian Citizen.
Good, stop visa hopping, mainly people enter low level course and remain in country for years, working in retail & hospitality industries, neglecting studies, they will try any means just to enter into country, studying is their least priorities, these low level colleges extracting millions from foreign students should be assessed by NSW Accreditation Board of Studies to see whether they actually run genuine courses needed for the country, not just any certificate course
