Ah balls to all the nit picking or trolling going on here. I'm Welsh, and it was an awesome game!! Happy to lose to so much great rugby from both sides (even with a few lucky underarm flips eh ;)) If the standards keep rising from northern hem sides we are all in for some great rugby years yet. Please stop shit talking fellas, this is not soccer, or league.
+Sykesee Well said. As an Aussie I'm loving all matches against Wales. Ok, we've been winning lately, but Wales is always a very dangerous side and I'm loving the rivalry between our sides. Can't wait for the World Cup match :)
bit sick of the racism on here tbh.. everyone has the right to be proud.. whether it's wales, england or whoever.. we're allowed to love our own countries without hating on others.. just saying..
+Shane Brennan We weren't blaming the ref mate... We accept we need to change something about how we play against SH teams. It was our fitness, in the last ten minutes we shut down, though we have improved on that and if we'd have not had 12 injuries in the WC we would have gone further.
+Shane Brennan The ref is always with shitty Australia look at Scotland v Australia RWC 2015... Knocked on by the Aussie and apparently it was a Scott who knocked it on, resulted to Australia winning the game by the skin on their teeth.
Wrong! like the poster above says as long as the passers hands aren't facing towards the oppositions dead-ball line then the pass is NOT forwards, the ball will always be moving forwards when two players running full tilt pass the ball so it's all down to the movement of the hands of the player making the pass. Even where there is doubt it should be in the attacking teams favour
@Shaunos When England can beat Wales comeback until then on your way because you're talking absolute crap still hurts the slamming does it we give your boys now do one . Remember who won the Lions series was it England players no don't think so it was Celtic nations Wales & Ireland now bye .
@Cool water fishing Yes, it was a forward pass, but if we don't commit that professional foul before the 2nd Aussie try we're one point down; 15 vs 15. 'Don't do the crime, don't do the time...' (for then Barnes can't beat us himself.) If we're ever going to win the RWC we've got to follow the southern hemisphere's structure that has 100% eliminated ALL dead rubber scenarios still existing in the domestic game here. That way, the game can be played to this intensity for 80mins non-stop and players will stop hoping for 'an easy game, every now and then'.
Although there's still a superiority complex, six-and-a-half years on from this game, a combination of inferior Welsh fitness, resources, ball-handling friendly weather and an understanding of support playing at this speed for 80 minutes non-stop are where the gap lies. Gatland's done an unbeilevable job 2008-19, but others have now bitten the bullet and the hiring of Eddie Jones is bringing so much faster development in the English game now shows how the competition in the northern hemisphere have been tanking from their full potential for a long time. Wales need the Celtic nations to agree on a two-tier, cut-throat relegation division format that eliminates ALL dead rubber fixtures, regardless of the fear that some regions may be financially-squeezed in the medium-term. This may also involve reducing Europe's top table competition to just 16 teams - forcing qualification to be taken even more seriously as well as winning the thing outright.
wales' losing streak of 9 games lmfao, wales are shit, England recently beat Australia too. wales will NEVER be World Class! And I hope wales' rugby collapses from lack of funding (I can wish haha) #EnglandIsAll.
Typical English "fan". Aren't Wales in the search for their third 6 nations title this year? Also, England beat Australia purely as results from 2 controversial and incorrect calls made by the officials. If you deny those facts and still happy with the win then you yourself cannot be considered "world class".
rjonesbeau1 3 game losing streak? no, 2 actually, you got that sneaky offside try in 2012 at HQ & last year when we didn't even show up. That's fine, but remember, you can't beat the top 3 teams, you got your ass handed to you by Ireland last 6 nations on home ground, 8 points apiece so technically it was a draw. Remember 67-5 then? Back in 2007 we ripped wales apart. That's what you call ownage. BTW England are 4th in IRB World Rankings & wales are 6TH haha. Stats don't lie. wales are overrated. Whereas England are consistently better.
What was sneaky or offside about Scott Williams' kick through try in 2012? It is a three game losing streak by the way... I do remember 67-5 very well, it was a bad day but times have changed. Recent results show that England struggle against Wales and got owned earlier in the year. Ireland had a good half of rugby against Wales; did we get our ass handed to us? Not sure, compare the half time score with the full time score. We still lost but we were hardly hammered. As for Wales being overrated compared with England. What exactly have England done since winning the World Cup in 2003 apart from choke when it comes to the big stage? How many grand slams have you won since then again?
Also the Six Nations was technically a draw? Ahhaha, that is a pathetic excuse trying to find achievement when there wasn't one for England. They were going into the that game as the new saviors of English Rugby, the next dream team that will win the Grand Slam with comparisons everywhere about the 2003 team. What happened? You couldn't even win the bloody championship hahahah.
Beat a southern hemisphere nation? Wales could play Australia every Saturday for a year and would lose 52 times. Who cares if they get another Six Nations, it'll amount to nothing really
