Australian Aboriginal Rock Wells at Weengallon 

Weengallon Aboriginal Rock Wells
This is a place of spiritual and cultural importance to the Aboriginal Traditional Owners of this land.
The Weengallon Rock Wells consist of four large wells and numerous smaller soaks which were used as a water source, and possible area for tribes passing through the region to visit Boobera Lagoon, the Bunya Mountains and other places of spiritual importance.
The wells are up to 12 metres deep and contain carvings.
This area also features a number of grinding grooves on mudstone which are evidence of ochre being obtained for ceremonial use.
