Great vid Vern,, and Matt found ALL the holes, lucky lad 😉 Your contents getting better all the time. I’m slowly getting through everything, keep up the good work. Chops.
Great stuff guys, I know those trails well! From Wollombi you can then link up to Pokolbin State forest via Cedar Creek rd for more of the same kind of riding, some spectacular views then drop down into Pokolbin for a feed.
Man you guys sure challenge yourselves. I prefer a little faster and more predictable roads. I usually start at Wiseman’s, up the Wollomombi/Great North road, then over the Watagan’s to Morisset. Still have to find the way left through Yengo to the putty Road though. Most of Your stuff isn’t for the faint hearted! Mad as cut snakes 🐍..Great watching though, keep up the good work.
So gutsy getting out in that rain!! Looks like you fellas had a wicked run! That stack looked pretty heavy Vern, I felt that when you hit that hole! I'm still yet to head out and explore those tracks, there's so much out there!
It was a fun day all things considered but yeah, that hit on the ground did leave me a little fussy for a moment. There's so many great roads through there, so many trails to explore. Can't wait to get out there again.
I suppose you could check the weather forecast...but, where is the fun in that! Great to see you boys just pushing on and having a laugh. That's what adventure riding is all about.
If we checked the weather we'd never go riding lately! We bascially gave up on worrying about the weather and just went anyway, and then adapt the plan as needed on the day.
Yep great stuff. Some Sydney accessible very good trails encountered, which aren't mentioned online much. Anyone riding from Sydney north, these are some beaut, recommended trails to try. Keep it up Matt and co. n,t
Thanks Katherine. We're attemping to capture and list trails around Australia on our website, check it out and let us know what you think. www.motorides.com.au/
That red clay in the Watagans when it gets chopped up by the 4 wheelers is hard to walk on without slipping over let alone ride on . Im waiting for the next drought before i head back.
Now that would put a smile on your dial. You guys had so much fun. Just goes to show that it doesn't matter what the weather is like, you can still get out and explore. Had to laugh at your buddy filming the water crossing with the lens turned around on to him. Well done to Matt riding the F800?? through all that.
That looks like great fun! I was at the Wollombi pub last Sunday as I took the scenic route back from the airshow at Scone with my boys (so 4 wheels, not two unfortunately). Picked up 2L of Jungle Juice too!
Red Hill is a great rd but getting a bit rough after the rain. There is a collapsed drainage pipe under the track where you ‘rested’ at 16 min. Have seen a few people have moments there and drainage mound just up from it.👍
