Scenes recorded on Monday December 30th, 2913, of Australian Alco diesels 4807 & streamliner 4403 hauling a private charter tour to Lavender bay on the shore of Sydney Harbour.
I have listened to the 48 Alco sound for decades as they travelled past my home in the afternoons and early morning so much so I used to get up and walk outside in my pj's in the middle of winter !
I got the XPT Sydney to ride a special to Lavendar Bay, but unfortunately it was cancelled and substituted a trip on the car sidings from Campsie to Sefton which was better than nothing.
