Umm honestly Besides the weapon Innaccuracies I had 10 times more fun playing Vanguard's Campaign than I did with with both COD 2 and World at War. I mean this campaign takes 9+ hours to complete on Vetaran compared to 4 hour 30 minutes on Regular.Ive been playing COD since the original and honestly this was an extremely good campaign. But it did a mistake in taking inspirations from Inglorious Bastards tbh.But the gameplay level design is 10x more fun and enjoyable than I did with WW2,COD 2 and WaW. Gameplay,Enemy uniforms,Locations, Graphics,Villan,Level Designs we're all 10/10. And in terms of Historical accuracy I would give Vangaurd's Campaign a 5/10
Very happy to see we finally have Australians in cod but when are we going to get a game that covers China and Japan conflicts Like the 2nd sino Japanese war
China would whine over a depiction where Japan brutalize China and they'll be banning then threatening to delete the game despite the fact the game is about defeating Nazis and Japanese
At the same time you’d see a WWII game that’ll cover the East African and Burma-Malaya-East Indies Campaign. Practically almost never, forgotten fronts with huge amount of history and combatants are gonna still going to be left forgotten in the mainstream media. Don’t hope from this franchise to be having those in game, it’s not profitable. Maybe some other game developer in the future but high unlikely as wel
@@TheRandCrews little golden oldie called MOH:Rising Sun. No East Africa, but you did get Singapore which nobody touches on, Burma-Thailand, Guadalcanal, Pearl Harbor + the fall of the Philippines.
Never. It's not profitable + there's still animous about the Rape of Nanking. Besides the 2nd sino Japanese war technically wasn't part of WW2 as it happened prior to the official outbreak in 1939. Thus, it would have to be a standalone game
Its physically not possible...In order to do that they would have to depict China as it was under Nationalist rule fighting against the Japanese....Hearts of Iron IV was banned in China for simply showing Taiwan under Japanese control....so yeah no...it won't happen because they would want sales in China.
I think it's there to tell us that we are playing as Aussies because it's a homemade Australian smg. But maybe make this in new ginuea in 1943 or something.
Especially as the Australian soldiers included a large number of Permanent Military Force Officers and soliders as well longer term Miltia personnel. It was hardly the ramble that the bs mythology of Peter Weir's Gallipoli has unfortunately spawned for WW1 and WW2 Australian solidiers.
"Insubordinate and churlish"... -really searched where this famous line came. All results lead to Key and Peele!😄 really thought some World Ward 2 Iconic figure said this.
Smoothbrains wanting historical accuracy in a fucking game where you eat lead with your face, and guns using same bullets have different damages. Give me a break. Nothing screams "I'm a buzzkill nerd" more than pointing out "muh history" in a video game youtube channel. Thanks AFGuides for the great videos!
Maybe some did but not all of them no. I don't believe the UK even forced Australia into the war, the Australians voluntarily showed solidarity with the UK by declaring war on Germany, same for all other dominions. Even though Canada and South Africa PMs were against Britain's war.
The games cod developers are making make me sick give us real history not this pc fantasy bullcrap world war two is filled with enough fantastic heroes and amazing feats no need for juggernaut and crap

Everyone talking about the misplaced weapons but can we just take a moment to ask why the Major has Slade-Wallace Equipment? Did he think he was off to fight the Boers. I know they want their characters to stand out but really it's nearly 40 years out of date to be used in combat and had even been abandoned for ceremonial duties by the 1940s.
@@joemcpherson4367 , Well sadly that's how game companies work at times when it has something related with real life history. Though there are some games in where they are quite accurate. Others like this one isn't exactly one of them though
@@joemcpherson4367 its allready glorifying ww2, which isnt exactly good. it should tread this important part of history with some sort of respect in my opinion.
@@misterfox7210 I can understand that point of view and I wouldn't expect anything to be 100% perfect, but I have been playing COD games since Finest Hour and while it did have its problems ,over the years this whole random uniform and weapons from different times/ places is relatively new and not a change I like at all, you can make a game fun and engaging without having to resort to it. If its multiplayer, then do what you want as far as I care but I do think the story mode should try and at least look right.
The Volkssturmgewehr triggers me tho, because not only it was anachronistic, it was also out of place. The weapon was not used for offensive operations, rather being a last-ditch weapon for the homeland Germans when they're about to lose the war.
@@BigBrotherMars As an Aussie, that was just uncalled for mate Edit: Unfortunately, Big Brother is American, says alot about the country, just ignore him.
@@BigBrotherMars lol you love to shit on Aus yet nearly 20% of your population move to Australia for a better life instead of getting wasted on codys and beating the misses or barking like a mighty mongrel mob bhaahahahaa
COD nailed our accent, interactions, cursing and our humour. Absolutely loved this haha, perhaps enforcing pushing some aspects a little to far, but love to see aussieland being involved with such a big game.
Except you wouldn't sound like this in 1941. Your accent at this point is a mix of North English and west country east anglia accent. The accent aussies are Known for wouldn't be a thing until the Greta migration and the 1970s
@@harryroberts388 probably half the dialogue was improv. They gave them the script, but actors most likely changed the lines to be more Australian. Lol
Aussies and kiwis never wore blue uniform like that in north africa They actually wore standard uniform in desert colour, same as the british one, the slouch is also missing
There isn’t a special “desert” uniform per se, just the standard Khaki uniform worn by the rest of the British forces from the time. As for the slouch hats well the vast majority of men should be wearing helmets but really it was a mix of the two throughout North Africa. Last time all Australians were wearing slouch hats into battle was at Fromelles in 1916.
This story would've been more appropriate for a World War I game. ANZACs hadn't been under British officers since then, and the anti-authority culture is played up a little. That said, I would rather they ham it up and merge historical facts than leave it out.
@@EpicMRPancake also by then they had British Officers sent to Commonwealth units to gain experience but mostly through observations and advisory role. Like in the New Guinea campaign, they weren’t supposed to fight but they did anyhow but not like this as well.
The more I think about it the more I think they should have had this character be an Indian soldier. If they want to showcase a "master and servant" storyline I find it would've made more sense to show a Indian unit because to show a British officer looking down on Australians doesn't really make much sense since the majority of the defenders of Tobruk were Australian units with Australian officers led overall by an Australian. That is unless this takes place in late-August(the Australians were relived by mid-August) then I guess you can make the argument that this unit is just the few Australians that were kept at Tobruk though that still begs the question why a British officer from a armored unit is in command of an Australian infantry unit. If anyone has more information that shows Australian soldiers in WW2 had do deal with this then please let me know.
Well that was certainly a hamfisted attempt at showing how the top brass can be assholes. And the anachronistic guns, tap dancing fucking Christ. Normies will eat this up and think it's what actually happened.
@@bakenbeans420 Actually the Germans did invent a 64rd mag for the Mp-40. However it was produced in insanely low numbers --- basically never went beyond field testing. Also the StG 44 was first built in 43, which is why you'll see it referenced "MP43/44" outside video games. Forgotten Weapons did videos on them
Ah yes, 1942-1949 weapons in 1941 being used by Australians being called rats by the Bri’ish (despite that name being given by Germans) fighting against Germans and absolutely no Italians and native African foreign legions
Siege of Tobruk (April 10-November 27, 1941) Australia vs. Third Reich, Kingdom of Sardenia, The Fariess (Jihad for Freedom and Justice, Muslims' Brigade, Armies of The West)
You are correct the Number 4 only saw limited actions in the very end of North Africa Campaign and was mostly saved for north west Europe. In fact as it has been said Austrians never used it sticking with the 1 Lee-Enfield MkIII* formally known as the SMLE until after the Korean war when they replaced it with the SLR
@@alittlebitofhistory don't forget the VolkstumGewehr it's Missplaced lmao... How that gun ended in Africa meanwhile the production of volkstrumgewehr it's 1944
Meh lame cod,i wish they could create something better like world at war again brutal and intense atmosphere not glorified shit like this.graphic gettin better but gameplay become too boring
0:48 Look at that guy looking directly at camera. you guys remember famous Australian kids TV series 'Crash Zone' and one of the main roles named 'Mike' whose real name was Nikolai Nikolaeff?
One question... and i'll leave you be. What kind of cpu r you using? I called myself getting a gaming computer to handel graphics for video editing n gaming (so I thought) and can't even get COD2019 to play clear and smooth.
Its one of those blue glue satelite tube trailer. I would be more in other flirts then its silence. More over like toasting red flour goose in the shallow green. Or the another town stills.
