I’m guessing this is the episode that resulted in the rules for Hit and Run being changed. To me, it would have made more sense to use a flat beam and have less clearance between the balls and the surface… but that’s just me
I reckon it was pre-recorded, but usually Injured Gladiators can still take part in HIT & RUN seeing as they are only required to Swing The Demolition Balls
I was sooooooo glad to see Fernanda win this round. Usually the tiny women get the hell knocked out of them and she certainly is the tiniest so far to my recollection. It was painful to see Tania's attempts at the travelator though. You could tell she was in pain.
I should also say: I think Pyramid is lots harder for the women than it is for the men, since they are usually much shorter. There are some events (especially Duel and Suspension Bridge) that I think are harder for the men
That point at 16:08 thought the contenders tits we’re gonna pop out. Surely there must a rule not allowing gladiators to pull on clothing on contact games like Pyramid, Hang Tough, etc
That did happen with Tim Goldrick and Mark Ortega in the third season of American Gladiators. If Tim didn't score with one of Mark's balls, he likely would've won that episode.
I thought so too, but in another episode in Series 1 one of the male contenders loses his chest armour in Gauntlet and the refs let him keep going. Seems like anything goes 🤷🏻♂️
The rules were more relaxed when John Alexander was referee. It's more than likely that contenders would've had to have gone back to beginning of the Balance Beam if this happened after Mike Whitney took over as referee in Season 2, as rules became more stricter then.
