Exactly! I always compare mechanical watches to humans, and quartz watches to robots (quartz watch has its place in the industry but I am not a fan). The whole video really looks like a surgery 😊
Because you were entrusted with servicing this super rare, highly collectible, expensive watch out of all the available watchmakers throughout the world, it is a testament to how skilled and trusted you are. What a honor to service this gem; after all, most watchmakers will not get the privilege to service such a watch.
Great video, congratulations. One question, I have seen that when you put the watch on the chronocomparator, the crown is at the end of the microphone. Is it important that it be on one side or the other? Thanks from Spain.
Just found your vids! Love them, watched them all. Can I make a suggestion? A little more back story about the watch perhaps? Australian Milsub. From where and how did it get into your hands? Stuff like that.
I recently bought a 2017 NOS Sea Dweller. I had it authenticated by a world renowned Swiss watchmaker in the US. He advised against a service at that time. Does that sound right?
I don't think you guy's understand these watches were serviced by the Royal Marines armourers in terms of regulating so don't expect a guy that's servicing a 7.62mm rifle to give a toss about a hairspring.. Get real..
