This is truly incredible from Seles after the stabbing to beat v.williams ! I think if Monica wouldn't be stabbed she probably would be the best woman tennis player ever! Well done Monica 👍!
I think prime Monica would have struggled against on form players like Venus, Serena, davenport etc. Even in her prime, she was always most vulnerable to big servers who could hit hard from the baseline. Back before the stabbing that was mostly Capriati and Graf. But she also struggled with Brenda Shultz. All their matches before the stabbing went to three sets, and Schultz very nearly beat Seles in 1993 at Chicago.
@@zeddeka Yes the stabbing was the best thing to ever happen to Seles or atleast for her fans. It allowed them to carry on this myth and illusion (and it was a total illusion) she would be unbeatable in any field for atleast another decade or some balgona.
Seles became very good friends with both Williams sisters near the end of her career. Oracene told Seles after the match she hoped she would win the event.
Seles was one of the best competitors in women's tennis. Had she not been stabbed and gained 10-15kgs, she could easily have added another 10-12 Slams to nine that she had already won.
@@rolandgreen7484 There is however such thing as a career stumbling block called getting stabbed. Obviously that's not what you would call a regular event in a persons career. She was dominant then and she was nowhere near her best yet. Hingis retired early due to ankle problems, hence why she only had 5. That's as bad an argument as it gets.
@Illya Kuryakin Here again? Please, stop fart and defecate in Monicas videos, take your stinky garbage out of there and keep this place clean, thanks darling 😘😘😘
@@rolandgreen7484 Hingis was on the decline and she wasn't as competitive. She was unwilling to make the effort to improve and the ankle didn't help. With regards to Seles, you seem to place a lot more emphasis on the projection than I do. Her early success is an indicator that cannot be ignored, but I'm not just basing it on that alone. Her talent and the difficulty to beat her was also taken into consideration. And like I said, she still was not at her peak.
@Illya Kuryakin Oh look at you imbecile making lame excuses again. You know for a fact that I'm a big Seles fan & I've been calling you imbecile for a few weeks now. Don't twist the story, Dr. Spin. The Williams sisters love Seles which you, a Graf stan, could only dream of. LOL!
@Illya Kuryakin Oh the imbecile making excuses. Fact is, Williams sisters love Monica Seles. Period. What's so elegant again with Graf? You're kidding & you're funny. Funny as fuck! LOL #notsteffigraf #imbecile

shrivers Good she said Venus movement was fine by the end of the match and has always said Monica would of achieved so much more. Seles is in better shape here but nothing like the rest of the top ten n she could produce this amazing.
The one thing for sure is that Monica would of won a lot more grand slams had she not been stabbed. I think Monica would of won between 15 to 20 grand slams. Monica as well as steffi would of dominated tennis till 1998 when the big hitters of Venus, Serena and Lindsay began to dominate. Prior to Monica’s stabbing while was slimmer and quicker around the court and could get a lot of balls back. Look at the 1993 aus open when Monica def steffi 4-6 6-3 6-2. Also Monica was only 19 years old and would of reached her peak around 1994 to 1997
