Welcome to the best Austrian wine region. Beautiful, Nordic fjord like scenery and the best Riesling vines on extremely steep slopes, with romantic villages, this is Wachau. The river Danube flows through this region from Germany to Wien and then to Bratislava, Budapest and the Black Sea. It brings it's unique microclimate, which together with the soil composition and slope steepness produces wines, that are one of the highest rated in Europe.
