Pips, long pips and anti rubber players deserve a lot of respect. It takes a lot of skill to use these rubbers well. I was a double winged looper with inverted rubber when due to injury I had to change my playing style. Once you actually try and use the pips, long pips and anti you realize just how much touch and precision you need to use these rubbers effectively. They don't win you points automatically. I think Li Qiangbing is hot. :)

i wish there would be a trnmnt where all pips players play only against other pips players. then and only then can you get a fair match and find out who's the baddest of them all.
And I would like to see pimple in players using their brains to figure out how to win against pimple out players instead of complaining. It is not that difficult but needs a little tactical finesse and discipline.
@roki1968 I agree 199% with you, my rating gets destroyed after playing and losing to just 1 long pips player in a long tournament, im a 1600 player and have lost to a couple 1000-1100 players that just block and block, no skill, no technique, no placement, just very good hand-eye cordination is all thats needed basically. No other sports allow "handicap" equipment like long, short, and anti-spin rubbers, its very disappointing, frustrating, and unfair, :(
I really love to watch GOOD defensive players who profit from their defensive skills. But in this case, I just hope ITTF is going to revoke permission to use this kind of pimple rubber as soon as possible. It enables players of low skills to beat players of higher skills by destroying the play. Alternatively, we have to ask ourselves if Table Tennis really should have its place in Olympic Games.
