I Bloody Love your videos Steve👊I don’t no how you manage to hold up your beasts up for photos it’s quite remarkable mate,i have to always lean my big uns back on to my body as I’m frightened they will fall😩many thanks 🙏🏻 for your videos very much appreciated👍Danboy
Some exceptionally lovely fish there, Steve - beautiful scale patterns, too! Great video - captivating to watch and as a viewer you could sense how much you enjoyed and appreciated the fishing. As in previous comment, you make it look easy using the carp sticks, but like you say - it's all about being on the bank and making it happen! Fantastic result!!!
yes there were!! At least the guys helped me out but my new reels and sleeping bag etc were all things I didn't want to lose!! it all turned out ok thankfully!!
I've seen lots of carp over the years but these are absolute gems big cool and just chunks of muscle well done to the owner and of course you Steve 👌👍which carp would you say is the coolest you've caught steve or maybe a really special one ??regards David
Thanks Dave they were really amazing fish for sure. If I had to pick one of any fish it would have to be the Black Mirror that one is head and shoulders above everything else 👌👌👌
dont know if anyone cares but if you're stoned like me atm then you can stream all the new movies on InstaFlixxer. Been binge watching with my girlfriend for the last couple of months =)
Great video Steve, i've watched it many times! I just have a question, i've seen that you use a lot double bottom bait and I understand why you don't like snow man, but why using 2 boiles instead of a single bigger one or just a single bait? Thanks for these beautiful videos that you share with us !
Hi Pietro I do like using snowman baits a lot also but it seems that most people use them so I try to be a little bit different. But there is no special reason for using two baits, sometimes it's just that I only have small baits 15mm to 18mm and two baits just look better on the rig. I do find that every lake is different, at Sumbar in Croatia small pop ups got the most action, whereas I just came back from Slovenia and one 20mm bottom bait got me the biggest fish so I do try different ways and they all work at different times :-)
Yes, your are definitely true....in fact snow man is really often used by many anglers..like me! I had so many good results with them that most of the time I use a snow man in almost one rod. But I want try in the future the "double Steve's bottom bait" as I started using the "Steve's buoyant ball rig" with good results! Tight lines!
I really like all times of year for different reasons - I love fishing in the south of France in November and December but other places I like to be there in the spring or summer - I just love it all :-)
Thanks Doug I dont have much time left for fishing in the uk normally but I am aiming to fish a couple of uk waters spring and early summer so hopefully it can happen :-)
Wow that looks like a place where dreams are made from. Can anybody book on to fish? Also can you please tell me what line you were useing many thanks keep up the good work you lucky man.
It's a lovely place but very private - I was very lucky to get permission to fish there but part of the deal was that I keep the name and whereabouts secret...... The line was some very old Ultima 16lb - I don't think the company is around anymore but I bought some new reels and I couldn't get my usual Nash D-Cam fast enough so I used that :-)
Cheers Andrew - good luck on the first trip - in my experience just keep things simple - good bait and strong tackle and fish hard, it's rarely easy wherever you fish in the world so just do the basics well and the rest normally follows ;-)
