Austrian soldier here, would like to tell you something about the „light combat jacket“ (as it is called in the Austrian army): • On the left arm comes the nationality emblem, on the right arm comes the unity emblem. (Jägerbataillon 25, Jagdkommando, Military Police, Tank Battalion 14 etc.) • The chest pockets are not intended for carrying a weapon. In the breast pocket you keep important notes, such as the "General Service Regulations", a document which all Austrian soldiers *must* carry, regardless of their rank. • The small pocket on the left arm is used to store the locker key or to store pens. • The loop in the middle is not used to supply the beret, but that's where the ranks go. and very important: If you really like uniforms (which is your right) and really want to wear it in public, then make sure that you don't wear any name tapes, no ranks and no patches, also no headgear like the light battle dress cap, where the flag is in a circle shape or the beret (where the austrian eagle is depicted in grey, silver or gold, depending on the rank)
The Austrian Combat tactical Uniform( Anzug03) is an excellent outstanding practical tactical designed uniform. It is similar to my Estonian Army tactical Combat Uniform that I wore in service which is in my profile photo here on RU-vid. These Zipper Pocket Tactical Combat uniform designs are Far superior to any of the US Military combat uniform designs; Army, Marine etc. Reason being as the Load Bearing Harness Suspenders do not interfere with quick acess to the large Zipper pockets. The large zipper chest pockets are capable to hold a large 30 round Standard Capicity magazin or avarage size Pistol or revolver Smartphones etc. Something the US Army ACU cannot do with its small useless pockets. I hope Swiss Link will be able to procure more of these excellent well designed practical tactical combat uniform tops and bottoms.
