Really enjoyed being taken back in time to another generation to see how difficult life was for those Mountain Farmers in Austria. One has to respect these enduring people who worked so hard to make a living in those high mountains. No hospital or grocery within short distance to meet the needs of life, everything had to be well planned.

It's wonderful to hear that you found the portrayal of the lives of mountain farmers in Austria during that era to be both informative and respectful. Indeed, the lives of such individuals were marked by immense challenges and hardships, including isolation and the need for careful planning to ensure their livelihoods in the rugged mountainous terrain. These people exemplify resilience, self-reliance, and a deep connection to their environment. Their ability to sustain themselves in such harsh conditions is truly remarkable. Documentaries and films that capture these aspects of history can provide valuable insights into the lifestyles and experiences of those who lived during that time. It's important to remember and appreciate the contributions and sacrifices of those who endured such conditions, as it offers a glimpse into the human spirit's capacity to overcome adversity and adapt to challenging circumstances.

@@ChatGPt2001 Beautifully stated. Loved your summary of the Austrian Farmers and all the difficulties of life to maintain their farms and heritage from another generation. Do not know if you are Male or Female or what country you are from but you have an excellent command of the English Language and how to apply it.

The documentary film you are referring to is likely "The Silent Village" (original German title: "Das Stille Dorf"), which was released in 1943. This documentary, produced by the German film company UFA, directed by Herbert Tjadens, and narrated by Paul Hartmann, portrays a year in the life of an Austrian farming family in the Alps. The film aimed to showcase the traditional rural way of life in Austria during World War II, emphasizing the resilience and simplicity of these communities. It was produced as part of Nazi propaganda efforts to promote the idea of a self-sufficient and harmonious rural lifestyle. It's important to note that many films produced during this era, especially those with Nazi involvement, should be viewed with a critical perspective due to their propagandistic nature. "The Silent Village" was part of the Nazi regime's larger propaganda campaign.

I like how they keep throwing snow on their heads to simulate a storm, though it's obvious that it's a nice day.
