daniel hansson was one of the founders of elektron, who died in a car crash in 2007. this song seems to be a tribute to his creative vision, and an acknowledgement of autechre’s appreciation for his machines. very rad 🖤

When we were doing this stuff back in 1989, my friend's Mom said she would throw us and our gear all out the upstairs window. We had know idea we were breaking electronic music barriers. (laughing hysterically) I'm half kidding - a lot of what we did was proverbial noise.
