@@bystvor1960 it was released in 2002 but Autechre confirmed they made it while they were working on EP7 (which came out in 1999) and sat on it for a few years before putting it out.
What's cool about this particular song pairing is that the original video for Gantz_Graf was an abstract spinning, warping, evolving 3D animation that was made painstakingly after the song, (the video was made to fit the song not the other way around). This washing machine spinning kinda fits the same aesthetic of that video to me.
@@BrapAllgood hahahaha happens to me all the time. I enter a youtube video, I leave a comment, scroll down and I find my 4 year ago me saying exactly the same.
some parts of the original vid were removed, the guy which did the original vid removed the counterweights and electronics and connected the engine directly, that's why it was falling to pieces but didn't die
I was looking for the official video by Alex Rutterford (which is a masterpiece IMHO), and came across this. And now I think this deserves to be the official video, i's genius! 🤣
This is the video I play whenever I am in Best Buy / Currys. I may be guilty of pressing play on several different computers during the course of one visit...
Aaah the beauty of destruction. Nusic never ends, it is we who turn away... and forget to close the door of our washing machine. This goes on my list of Gantz Graf interpretations.
I like the fact that the washing mashine was still working and was slowly falling into pices. It so hard to tell is it in real time, but I think it is.
