My OBD autel md802 updated. My machine doesn't work, so I want to find firmware v.2.60 Sys.Software v5.02 Hardware version v1.00. Can someone help or advise me on what I should do? Or is anyone able to send a backup file for me?
I have a Autel VAG 505. It is the same. Try to update, and then fucks up !! Never buy again ! Next time I buy from Aliexpress, much cheaper ! Now €189,00 gone and have nothing!!
Good clarification. No, there was no payment required when registering. Payment is required only if you choose to purchase support for additional manufacturer's models beyond the included free one.
You downloaded info your vehicle then you use generic crap. Should have also used to show the difference. Pids will tell you a lot more than that generic crap. You don't need the cd. You just download the new version. That's why you had to do it twice. And really you should upgrade by the micro chip rather the usb. Maybe at the time they didn't no it messed up some of these now they tell you its much safer to pull out the micro disk then put in puter and download it in there then when you are done just pop it back in scanner start it up and away you go.
The update process can be done in more than one way. Either with the memory card installed in the tool and the USB cable connected between the tool and the computer or with the memory card removed from the tool, installed in the computer, download and write the update to the memory card, install the memory card back in the tool, and restart the tool.
I understand that. Actually I was just wondering why did you do that but I guess you had your reasons. Would be good to actually compare "standard" info with that manufacturer-specific "thing" gives you. Nice video anyway.
Alexander Rikmanis Ah, reason was I have three newer Hondas and Acuras but only that one old Toyota. Just made sense to pick Honda/Acura for the one free download.
Downloads for other manufacturers beyond the first free one have an additional charge. I think that they were initially $15 each so perhaps they've dropped the price.
