If anyone is wondering. I just got mine yesterday and took it for a spin. You really can't go wrong with and evo lite. Its phenomenal for what you pay. I have the receeational certification right now, but eventually ill get my actual license so i can make money on the side with this thing. Its impressive from flight control to video quality to how accurate it is. Its been out for a year so im guessing they fixed any issues it has had over time. The software is also extremely easy to use.

I've owned three DJI drones over the past few years, but it is neat to see the advancements that other drone manufacturers have made. It must truly be a quiet machine. I carefully watched the people walking in the park and none of them looked up at the drone. You can carve another notch in your controller to commemorate yet another successful flight!

Thanks for the pre-publish link. Yours behaves exactly like mine. Flick is a favorite of mine, it's actually more like a course lock with subject. It Flys toward the subject, and passes left or right (depending on which circular arrow you choose) then past and backwards away from the subject. I did Course lock Hyperlapse with subject on all my DJI drones last summer and this is the sane, but in regular video. Very dramatic but the return flight makes me laugh every time. Instead of directly flying back to start, it tries to reverse the initial flight but looks like it's drunk 🥴 😅 🙃 -so entertaining!

Great video Marcus I got my lite plus out yesterday and enjoyed a few fantastic batteries with it before dark great drone but compared to my Air2s and mavic 3 it’s a little slow that’s okay,I ditched the bag and bought a hard case I picked up a handgun carrier for $30 and it works fantastic , the range is incredible second to my mavic 3 and after messing with the yaw control it performs close to my Air2s anyway I love the camera I’m glad I was fortunate enough to be able to add one to my fleet the mavic 3 is king ,the Air2s is the Porsche and the Autel is relaxing and I don’t plan on buying anymore for a few years unless that 3 hour battery drone hits the Market…I really enjoy watching your channel and have for quite a few years now and hopefully you’ll keep ‘em coming….thanks again!!!

Great flight Marcus, I'm so glad you received a problem free Light Plus, after dealing with two buggy Nano Plus drones. This drone now makes more sense since they reduced the price, it now can compete with the Air 2s in price and performance, more camera performance than features. Thanks for sharing.

I own only DJI drones. But, Autel drone cameras have intrigued me for a while now! I love their dynamics and color balance. I only wish Autel had a controller similar to the DJI RC, where I wouldn't have to use a phone or tablet for viewing. NIce video showing us the flying ability of the Evo Lite+. Thanks for sharing.

It’s twice the price really? This drone is not the mavic 3 competitor? It’s the air 2 s competitor and it’s a better drone than the air 2 s regardless of where your bias may lie. Better camera no geofencing longer battery and outside of top sensor and waypoint which is preference not a downside it’s a great drone on its own.I have a Dji and Autel they both make good products. There is a reason there hasn’t been a replacement for the air 2 s yet it’s great. Autel didn’t have a drone in this space and for the money this is one of the best drones on the market regardless of brand.

Autel really got the color science dialed in to be nice and natural. I personally avoid dynamic tracking with Autel drones. I just don't trust them to do what Skydio or the newer DJI drones can do. Nice video showing the park and the drone features.

I took mine out today. Flying with the wind to its back, I got it up to 39mph. 24.8mph flying backwards.

Hi Marcus, nice flight with the EVO Lite+. Ken Booth just resigned from Autel, not good news. Autel can't seem to change its stripes. It seem to be a company with a mission statement of Self Destruction. Some of their products are pretty good, but nowhere near the competition of DJI. IMO Autel peaked with the EVO ll 6 & 8k drones.

One other point. Autel drones flight speeds are very influenced and susceptible to wind. At least the 4 that I have had. They take longer to get to speed and wind will knock them to a crawl. Not sure if that is ESC or motor type. But wind free my Lite+ flies 18 m/s all day long 40mph is pretty good in my opinion 👌

I've noticed the same. My thought is that they do not allow the drone to pitch forward as much as our DJI drones. Possibly due to the limits of their gimbal.

Nice drone. But unless it also has GPS follow-me completely worthless for me. First the drone suddenly start doing its own thing. Not what you want! Then by keeping you in the middle of the frame it is almost impossible to see the landscape. Apas only works with the high resolution front camera I think. So you can't really have it fly in front or next to you. Next, if you are obscured by an object it will lose you. And finally you can't use it to keep the drone close in between shots. Because that is a forgotten feature. You can concentrate on the trail while it follows, and you take over control to do fly-by's etc. The best shots are often done manually! Again I am not against optical tracking. Far from. It's great. Mini 3 Pro, wow. However .....in real life situations it is not reliable. If you want good footage of the landscape around you it will be a struggle to position it where you want. And if the tracking does go well the result is a nervous video going left right left right. The good thing about optical tracking is obstacle avoidance. Although you definitely are going to need it if the drone won't fly at a steady distance and height. So why why why why do those 'experts' cripple their products by not adding GPS follow-me. My $135 drone does it perfect. It just shows these people are not hikers or bikers. If they were they would immediately find out optical tracking has limitations. A good drone needs both optical tracking and GPS follow-me.
